Big deal. Prediction percentage means nothing. Cloud won an entire contest with less than ten percent correctly predicting it.

I generally agree with this but even Cloud had 73.13% making the Elite 8(with comparable roads) and 54.13% maknig the Final Four. It's only when he walked up against Link that his percentage dropped greatly.

Bracket representation strength might only make a minimal difference but it's definitely not been a good sign for him coming out of what the Board would consider a no-brainer division(though I'm srue this number is inaccurate because of over estimation of SpC2k5 Ganon.) Anything can help with the uncertainity that is Mario/Samus. I know I'd rather have Mario's 80% PP right now.

Samus' low prediction percentage shouldn't surprise anyone. I was going to make a post about how Samus' would probably have a surprisingly low prediction percentage, but I didn't bother because I saw others already predicting it was going to be in the high 40's or 50's. So it didn't need to be said.

The general bracketmakers clearly have little faith in Samus; this was also exemplified by how little Samus pickers there were in the top 50 relative to Mario/Crono pickers, until recently.

And Ganon obviously had a lot of general bracket support, as we expected.

It really doesn't bode badly for Samus in the least. In terms of her match with Mario, it's a total non-factor.

Well, I suppose it's possible that because he's so ugly, Snake is just very sensitive to his picture.

In any case there's clearly a large level of non-linearity here. (unless Vivi really was SFFed last year and Zelda went up a lot; or Vivi actually went up this year; which I highly doubt, and only mentioned them for the sake of completeness)

If you assume Vivi was SFFed by Sephiroth, and extrapolate through DK 2k3, Snake goes up to 39.47. It's interesting to note that DK through Master Chief and DK through Sam Fisher (through Gordon Freeman 2k3 OR through an adjusted Magus) all place DK very close to that 2k3 level.

However, Sora currently places Snake above 47% on 2k3 Link, which is a different story entirely.

By the way, with this match it now looks like the biggest threat to the Noble Nine is the possibility of Mega Man losing to Yoshi. How weird would it be if Snake beats Bowser and Mega Man loses to Yoshi?
