I'm looking forward to Samus/Mario...I sure hope Samus wins simply to see how low the prediction percentage can go. Plus, I have Samus on my bracket, AND I like Samus way more...

I've been messing around a bit with the extrapolated stats, and it's funny what coincidences I came across (which are pretty much worthless):

First of all, if you set Mario 2K4 = Mario 2K5, and go all the way down to Wesker, Wesker's new X-stat value is 13.43%, about .3% off his Sp2K5 value. Zero's at, um, 27.69%. >.> Interesting, nonetheless.

In another interesting case, if you measure from a constant 20XX-adjusted Zero, Mario's at 45.72% on BL. If you measuring Mario from 2K3 Ness (NO adjustments), Mario's at 44.88%. You could say that Mario would overperform by the same amount as Bowser did. This is also an unlikely case, as Mega Man seemed to show some weakness...

For tomorrow...has anybody even thought of the idea that Solid Snake could hit 60% against Sora tomorrow? I wouldn't say Alucard has to be more popular than Vivi. Snake's homecourt advantage couldn't hurt, either.

I'm talking about Board 8 in particular. It can't be emblematic of the shift towards Nintendo, since for the most part we're the same guys as last year.
