Ahhh, sweet vindication. Like I've been saying since Snake vs. Zelda, and even more since MC vs. DK, Snake 2k3 > Snake 2k5. It would've been absolutely phenomenal to see Snake > Mega Man this year.

Well, it looks like Snake is starting to go up again. He's gotten over 70% on the last two updates. I don't think Samus will outdo him here.

To be quite frank, an overperformance by Snake here wouldn't be surprising in the least. I thought the possibility was very real, even if I never outright said it. Sora just doesn't have the casual support (which he pretty much has to rely heavily on, I feel) to hang with the likes of Solid Snake. He can beat characters who don't have a solid casual backing like Hayabusa or Alucard, but this should seal any doubt that Sora couldn't beat Squall, even if he were indirectly stronger.

Well, DK looks to be stable from his 2003 number, so unless Vivi dropped, Zelda's performance was legit, and with the all-around Nintendo increase practically slapping us in the face at this point, it shouldn't be very surprising.

No I mean its ridiculous how popular Crono is and the other Chrono Trigger characters used to be. Chrono Trigger is old and did nothing for the industry to warrant such popularity like FF7 did. That combined with the overall Nintendo/modern popular character boost, and Crono shouldn't still be this popular.

Alucard definitely disappointed me coming off of his performance with Kratos, so I picked a 60+ pick for Snake this round.

I definitely didn't expect this high though. So Snake is also looking good. Bowser impresses with 60% on Ryu and Snake turns around with 67% on Sora.

Looks like the Noble Nine isn't going anywhere this year.

Man, looking at this, I would take Snake over Mega Man right now in a heartbeat (no, Alucard did not magically turn into fodder), and it would be SOOO sweet. As it looks now, Snake is going to be in contention for the main bracket right around when MM is struggling against Yoshi to preserve the Noble Nine.
