Why not introduce a system where any stat-topic regular can make these as the last one fills up, provided they include all the stats? It's better then making them before the other is at 300.

But I guess one has to be careful the topic will slip through one's fingers.

Well, Snake beat Frog by 2% and Sora did better on Samus by 5% so if we completely ignore all other stats, and believe something incredibly farfetched and unlikely, and pretend that Frog was never overrated, and that Snake never increased, and that Sora increased by like 10%....then maybe Sora could........lose. I have a question about Link Vs. Mega Man "SFF."

Why are people so willing to believe Yoshi/Luigi Vs. Pac-Man SFF, but they won't accept Link Vs. Mega Man SFF?

It's the same principle. One character (Pac-Man/Mega Man) does well based on legacy alone. However, once they face another character of "legend"* status, they collapse. Obviously, Mega Man has more actual fans than Pac-Man so he doesn't collapse by nearly as much. Link didn't SFF Crono or any one else that was on a system he was on, because this a problem specific to Mega Man himself. It's not something that would happen whenever two characters from the same system meet, which was one of the main arguments against this theory.


*Obviously a broader term to Pac-Man than to Mega Man.

Here's an idea: maybe Yoshi and Luigi really were legitamately much stronger last year but we didn't know because of Link vs. Yoshi SFF? Then there'd be no need for Yoshi or Luigi SFF vs. Pac-man, and it explains Luigi vs. KOS-MOS, well too.

Other Nintendo characters seemed to have legitmately increased in 2004, like Samus and Link, so why not them too?

That's pretty much true. Link winning against Yoshi so badly last year underrated both Yoshi and Luigi. They've done pretty well for themselves this year, proving they're a bit underrated.
