So it could be the Nintendo boost that I know you hate, or Ryu really has dropped. Ryu is much more trustworthy than Vivi though, so an anomaly is less likely.

I'm not totally sure, after how Bowser disposed of Ryu. Then again, if it's all Ryu dropping, Rikku suddenly makes a bit more sense.

I highly doubt Ryu DROPPED.... he's not the type of character to rise or drop in popularity. Wasn't he dubbed Mr. Consistent? He was solid in both his wins and his losses.

Not that I discount the possibility of a drop here, but I could see Riku over Tidus. She was already 4th at a minimum before FFX-2, and since he's not exactly at his 2k3 levels I don't tihnk it's out of her reach,

I'd take Rikku over Tidus, and can't really see why someone wouldn't.

Rikku is much more liked and exposed (in a marketing sense) than Tidus is; it makes some sense for her to be more popular now after X-2. That alone wouldn't make me put her over Tidus, but together with his performances the past two years, it's easily enough.

42% for Squall. I'd expect as many people to pick Knux > Geno as I would Magus > Knux, so Squall's rd 1 pred% doesn't impress me enough to assume he wasn't splitting with Magus.

I have no problem with Rikku over Tidus.. I do have a problem with her being 5% stronger, though, and then Bowser up at 37 or so percent. Ryu falling a little makes the numbers make more sense.

Bowser at 35 is a little high, but I can deal with that, especially since that's where he was for the Villain contest. Mario's been around 38-39 in every contest, and putting Bowser too close to Mario worries me. let's see how he does against Snake.

however, if Mario increases this year and ends up above 40, I could definitely see Bowser being that strong.

Given Dante's apparent prediction percentage, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened with Squall/Magus, only this time it would be in the winners favor. I'd guess alot of casuals had Squall winning the division. Squall with 55%.

I seriously debated whether Squall would beat Magus or not... I knew Magus was overrated, but I didn't think he would be overrated by that much. It's the pick I regret the most out of all my losses, since I actually saw it coming. I still would have lost a first round point though...
