Hm...first, Kirby beats Tidus with 58%; today, Squall beats Knuckles with 53-54%. Tidus is supposed to be more popular than Knuckles according to the SC2k4 x-stats, and Squall beat Kirby last year with 55%...talk about conflicting results. So, yeah, regardless of the fact that Knuckles beat Magus (Magus' didn't do much better against Fisher than DK did), I'm surprised at how close this is.

Also, to comment on Vincent's 25% prediction percentage...think about how low the prediction percentage will be if he beats Squall! It might be under 10%...

Sonic won't get the doubling and he won't do better than Ganondorf. I can almost guarantee those two things.

Knuckles is doing better than the stats projected, including the reasonable projections that are more biased toward Knuckles. So, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Sonic stronger than last year, and thus see him double Diablo without too much of a sweat.

Not to mention, Diablo is as ugly as sin (rather fitting, now that I think about it) in that picture, and Sonic always looks cool, so that helps. That's the same picture he had when he faced Ganon, who had a pretty bad picture himself.

I'm rooting for Sonic to undershoot Ganon's percentage, just to give Tifa a fighting chance next round.

That's how I look at it. The lower Sonic gets the better Tifa's chances are -- not that she has a bad one to begin with; in fact, she has a great chance at winning, but any advantage is nice to have.

1. Wow, Knuckles is really taking it to Squall. Winning by a much bigger margin than the stats preidcted, and doing better at night than during the day to boot.

2. I love how everyone keeps saying that either Lloyd>Kratos, or Kratos is stronger but very close, just to protect the 'main character=stronegst character' theory that has been proven wrong three times already.

Damn, this contest seems hell bent on proving me wrong.

When I thought Magus will clear the division, he lost to Knux.

When I thought Vincent will do so in his stead, he choked against Dante.

When I thought Squall will, he choked against Knux.

Though I hope Squall can beat Vincent, his chances are very slim, as I'd take Dante over Knux without thinking.

I kike Tifa because she is Cloud's true partner, and a good, dynamic character.

I like Yuffie because she is 16 and lays one on Cloud. I'd hit that.

I dislike Aerith because they just tried way too hard to make her a "wholesome flower girl". If they had laid off it a bit, then she would have been alright.

Sonic, most likely. His impressive day vote is measured off of more impressive opponents.
