...he's done better than expected by many of us though, so big props to the guy. Lookin' back, I've gone on record saying I'd take Terra over Kerrigan, so I feel dumb for sayin' Vincent gets 61% today; methinks I'm not the only one who got duped like that.

I'm cautious to say Squall will have a great shot against Vincent; it's hard to tell if Dante went up any or not (what with DMC3 and higher vote-totals), and we saw what Cloud has done to Squall (and what Aeris has done to Sora, too). However, with good enough numbers against Knuckles, I'd call him the favorite...it's just that I'm gonna wait and see what numbers he puts up before I decide what number he needs to hit.

Squall has a great shot at Vincent no matter what numbers he puts up on Knuckles, as long as Squall wins. Vincent failing horribly here is evidence enough.

Squall's in my fifth tier of characters. I've got Dante a clear two tiers below Squall the way I rank things. Vincent easily fits in between those with the Aurons of this world. That's an awful lot different to those who were saying he could give Crono trouble, who's in my second tier with the rest of those that actually have a chance of winning this thing.

Heh, this is turning out like Squall/Luigi, in a fashion. Just like people had trouble believing in Ratchet's weakness, Kerrigan seems to be one of the most fodderific characters imaginable.

Not that it's to be COMPLETELY unexpected. Ensemble cast? Check. PC game that is played primarily for the multiplayer? Check. Unrecognizable picture? Check. And. Mate.

Right, and Kerrigan was new too. Many of us made our expectations based off of a range we made for Kerrigan...and because Kerrigan's in that lower range afterall when many of us expected Kerrigan to be stronger than that, that's why I'm saying he failed most of our expectations. However, no matter what tier you have Dante, he's shown he's a solid mid-carder; plus, we still don't know what to exactly make of Dante thanks to DMC3 (and higher vote-totals supposedly helping him, too)...that doesn't necessarily make him a beast, mind you, but that could make Vincent deceptively stronger here.

I'm just saying they he's still done well, no matter how many predictions (including my own) have been failed.

I believe that the SFF will swing Squall's way; FFVII DOES SFF everything, but I don't believe that Vincent -a very non-prominent character in his game- can SFF the protagonist of FFVIII. There IS a difference between Cloud and Vincent.

I assume you're talking relatively there. In that if you're, say, Gordon Freeman, facing CATS isn't that less daunting than facing Samus.

Wel I wake up to this.... I think this has more to do with Dante's strength than Vincent's weakness though. I'm guessing DMC3 and the higher vote totals are helping him alot more than we thought. Vincent obviously has no shot at Crono but I still say he'll win the division.
