What does this have to do with the Extraploated Standings? The extrapolated standings make no claim to be accurate in situations with large amounts of SFF or a large year to year change.

Because people look at the stats and automatically assume that Samus wasn't SFFd.

Link SFFing Samus to any substantial amount that year is something that people should be skeptical about, using "common sense". There's no evidence to indicate it, really.

Reviewers bashed the living hell out of Metroid Prime for being first person.

It was bashed in previews and such, maybe, but... look at the review scores it ended up getting. If a 96.4% average on GameRankings is what a game gets when it gets the living hell bashed out of it...

I'll take Crono with 74% of the brackets. Keep in mind that Crono's four-pack in 2k3 was him, Tom Nook, Pac-Man, and Kefka...and he only had 60.93% of the brackets on his side then. With two seeds higher and one of his four-pack members already being CRUSHED by Crono, I'm givin' Crono about 13% more credit despite Vercetti and Zidane being stronger than Pac-Man and Tom Nook.

Dante looks better, but Vincent looks more like he should. Knuckles proves why he's infinitely cooler than Squall, no matter what Leonhart may say (or the fact I never played a game with Squall in it...shhh). Sonic's good, and I was afraid Diablo would get that pic; yuck. Tifa/Luigi is nothing special. Mega/Leon is ****ty, really. Yoshi/Pac looks good though.

To add on to Dante's "case", I STILL don't think he's done anything noteworthy in this contest....

Here are all the victories Dante has had:

Beat Q-Bert with 70.01%
Beat Ryo Hazuki with 77.65%
Beat Ratchet with 80.28%
Beat Tails with 57.40%
Beat Terra with 71.50%

The most noteworthy opponent Dante has beaten is Tails. Auron beat Tails MUCH worse than Dante did, and I would pick Vincent to beat Auron in a second. He also beat Ryo SLIGHTLY worse than Yoshi, another person who I would pick Vincent over in a second.

Here are Dante's loses:

Crono beat him with 66.58%
Ryu beat him with 54.01%
Sonic beat him with 62.03%

People say that Dante had respectable loses, but in my opinion he wasn't that impressive in his losses. Crono doubled him up, and Sonic made him look really bad. Even Ryu was able to handily beat him, and we see how he fared this year against a fan-favorite in Bowser. I don't see how he can touch Vincent with losses like those... Bottom line, Dante hasn't done a thing that impresses me in these contests.

Some very compelling anti-Dante arguments there. Now that I think about, he's like a stronger version of Vercetti or Kratos: casual bait. He's won against standard fodder and had an unimpressive victory over Tails (the one question mark win being Terra), while at the same time, his losses haven't spoken well for his strength. I'd raise my Vincent Oracle prediction, but it's too late. Dante's got my vote, but I sadly think he's getting killed. =(
