It was just that Frog (who clearly cheated) came back on his own after that. The Duck Hunt comeback wasn't successful because it never worked, but MC's comeback last year was a success; it just didn't hold.

I only call it successful if the person who came back won the match, but it's your call.

The Frog cheating bit was a joke, btw. The comeback was successful. If we're looking at comeback as biggest number of votes overcome to take the lead, then that comeback was the most successful comeback. The Duck Hunt comeback is different, because Duck Hunt never took the lead. It was one failed comeback. Master Chief successfully took back the lead, therefore his comeback was successful. I mean, looking at matches in terms of one comeback is just...lacking, I think. It wasn't one comeback that Master Chief failed at. He successfully staged one, and then lost another one.

He increased his lead 'til about 6:30 PM, reaching a peak of 620 votes. Then, Frog slowly came back, took the lead at 10:30 PM, and won by the skin of his teeth.

Could this match follow the same pattern exactly...?

I wouldn't count on it. DK =/= Frog.

Though it's obvious that MC was either VERY overrated, to the point of ridiculousness, or Donkey Kong got a general boost along with the rest of Nintendo. And that's no matter who wins.

I didn't word what I meant well, at all. Because I agree with you. When I say biggest comeback, I mean that Character A was down by X amount of votes, successfully recovered all of those votes, and took the lead from Character B. Biggest Comeback would then be defined on how big X amount of votes were that were successfully recovered..

This match has been quite similar to Frog/MC so far.

If the night vote does favor DK, look for him to start making a comeback around 6:30 PM...about two hours from now.

But if it doesn't favor DK...well...that just sucks.

And, well, DK's just average with the day/night distribution. Master Chief, on the other hand, is the most extreme case we have. For the night vote, average > extreme. DK WILL come back... the question is, by how much?

Dude, Master Chief's lead should be beyond 1000 by the "comeback time" if he keeps this up.

And Frog did not "suck up the night vote like a vacuum". Chief stalled him pretty effectively several times. Only losing 600 votes in about 6 hours (and it would have been only like 400 if Frog hadn't have made the huge jump 2 hours from the end) if you're against Frog means you're at least decent with the night.
