I think Vincent poses a very real threat to Crono.

How can you justify that Vincent has a realitic shot at a character who beat Mario easily last year after the only Vincent performance you've seen has been against someone who's never even been in the contest or had anyone similar to her in the contest before. Unless you have some crazy new statistical figure to justify this, I don't see how anyone except the most hardened Vincent fanboys could say this now.

He's not saying that Vincent will beat Crono or is even the favorite to win. He just feels that what Vincent did to Kerrigan was good enough for Vincent to at least have a shot at Crono.

well, the one that's weighing into my head is Kirby over Tidus. on the one hand, he's a Nintendo character.. on the other hand, he was also a 1 seed. I think the 1 seed helped.

I really gotta stop FAQing and doin' homework simultaniously, but I just got to thinkin'; I see Joanna and Kerrigan probably bein' very similar in strengths. Could somebody do a quick check-up on what'd that mean contest-wise for me if Joanna = Kerrigan? Thanks in advance if anybody takes that up.

Sadly, I doubt Knux/Squall will be all that interesting. I have high hopes for him doin' well, but he'll be doin' real good to break 46%.

I like whorin' the fact around that Knuckles would get 56% against Squall in 2k2 though. =P

This bashing of people who think highly of Vincent's strength is now bordering on the comedic.

Or maybe it passed that mark long ago.

Why people can't accept that he's real strong, I do not understand.

And I was thinking that most Nintendrones won't even care about him.

And most wouldn't if it wasn't Master Chief who was the opponent and if DK didn't give up such a large lead.

Strong enough to be a threat to Crono? I'm sorry, but that claim is almost laughable.

What makes you say that? Kerrigan only needs to be as strong as Sam Fisher for Vincent to be a threat. That's not a particularly high mark to cross.

Considering that Tifa has shown in her debut match she could potentially hang with the likes of Samus and Vincent has placed ahead of her in two different FF7-character polls (one on and one off of GameFAQs), it's very plausible that Vincent COULD rank ahead of Crono. It doesn't hurt that it's arguable that Magus and Frog have dropped a lil' and Crono didn't impress the board with his match against Zidane (though, ultimately, our expectations hardly matter). It may be worth noting that FF7 > CT in the Games Contest, too, and we'll even throw in that FF:AC will be released in Japan before Vincent/Crono if Vincent gets that far.

I'm stickin' with Crono, but Vincent's got a fair enough shot.

And at the same time, Kerrigan only needs to be as low as Kuja for Vincent to be right about where he'd be expected to be. Hardly an unreasonable opponent to lose to.

Don't base strength on your expectations of Kerrigan, a total unknown, wait until he chokes against Dante first.

Thirteen people fell off the Top 50 today. jsm158, DaRkKnIgHtRiSeS, theringinreturn, kobemalone007, Jleit, Rozmos, epyonsabre, ThunderRazor4, Cam_Alex, lynchfan9, TheAlmightyDarc, Antonius66 and Metroid_Link did not have Master Chief winning the match today.
