i'd definitely take the Cheif. Vercetti's first year was undoubtedly his strongest, and DK looks to have increased since 2K3, so i would say that MC's performance will wind up better, even if he narrowly loses. plus, MC looks like he will stick around longer than Vercetti with Halo 3 on the horizon.

also, i don't know why people are bashing the x-stats on today's match. the 2K3 stats predicted MC to win with just over 51% and the Nintendo increase could easily shift that the few points DK needs it to.

oh, and if DK manages to blow this one after building an 1800 vote lead, he truly will have gained his place in contest infamy as the biggest choke artist of all-time.

MC goes up against Tanner, I'm thinking Tanner ends up with 20% of the vote. Being actively reviled by a good portion of the population continues to hurt Chief here.

Vote rallying may not even be able to save him, as Donkey Kong has some sort of passing appeal to practically anyone, unlike Frog. If you haven't played Chrono Trigger (easy when you're off-site), then voting MC over some dumb Frog is pretty easy to do.
