The topic was deleted because the first post was trolling. Allegedly. It was overturned and the original topic exists again.

People who are way too attached to GameFAQs. I can understand marking things that are truly offensive and don't belong, but if you're so far lost to the real world that you'll mark borderline posts on an internet forum because text or a differing opinion disappearing makes you somehow feel good, I honestly do feel bad for you. I can't imagine the type of life you lead, because only someone very bored, very screwed up or someone way too attached to internet life could see nothing wrong with that.

The odd thing is that this seems to be exclusive to GameFAQs. Most other sites and their users aren't this unbelievably stupid about the moderation system, and I blame the fact that our moderation system is very public. It's very matter of fact on other forums, including those with very high visitation rates. I may never figure out why people on GF are so damned mark-happy, but then again, I really don't want to.

the only messages I've ever marked are ones that stretch the screen so badly that I can't even read it. I've done that twice in three years, I think.

I laughed when someone marked that one overrated games topic for disagreeing with their opinion.. though I can't believe something like that could possibly be moderated.

The only times I ever mark topics are when people put huge game spoilers in the title just to piss everyone off and ruin a game for them. Other then that it seems relatively pointless to me.

Just got back from my cruise, looked at the last few days results, and burst out laughing. Bowser *killing* Ryu makes Bowser/Snake look great, even if I feel bad for Ryu, Kirby *killing* Tidus makes me weep with joy and is very tempting to brag about, and now DK is upsetting Master Chief. Good times. And the cruise was nice, too. ;)
