Again, it isn't as though Final Fantasy VII has been a disappointment. Nintendo has been doing well, but I think some people are blowing it way out of proportion. It isn't like Nintendo has yet to disappoint. They may have won, but by no means was it a victory exceeding expectations every time.

There's no reason to count out anything relating to Final Fantasy VII at this point.

Basically, I can't see Ryu being almost consistent for 3 years and then suddenly dropping like mad on the 4th year, I can accept dropping/over-rated a bit, but to the extent of Snake getting like, over 60% on him, even if he has gained is a bit, I dunno..

Nintendo may be dominant, but they're not invincible (that title can only be applied in any fashion to perhaps Link). 55% is a bit much, but I've said it before--if we're seeing a Nintendo increase across the board, there's little reason to believe Zelda didn't benefit. If she went up significantly at all, Snake is higher than his 2k3 level. And that should be enough to clear Bowser.

Not to mention I always thought Ryu was overrated in 2k3/2k4, but that's another story.

Lloyd did good against Zero, so I think not.

He did roughly the same as Ansem did against Ganondorf, who I have in the same tier as Zero. If putting up similar numbers as someone who struggled with CATS qualifies as "did good", I'd hate to see what "did bad" is.
