Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
http://sc2k5.com/drupal/node/11

Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

if you prefer Bowser quotes, these are some of my favorites:

(Diary entry) "Day: 0/X Month: * Cloudy then Sunny.
"Today was great, diary! I used my Castle to lift up Princess Peach's Castle way up into the sky! Then I barged into Peach's Castle and beat up Mario! Yeah! Unbelievable I know! So fun! And there's more! After that, I kidnapped Princess Peach! I couldn't be happier, Diary! I hope she likes me..."

(Diary entry) "Day: X/X Month: * Sunny
"Well, the Koopa Bros. got beaten by Mario, dairy! He even set free the stupid Star Spirit I kept there. I'm so mad I can barely write! 'Ooh, I'm Mario, I'm so big and strong and good and helpful...' I hate him! But I'm not worried. There's no way Mario can save the Star Spirit being held in Dry Dry Ruins. To do that he'd have to solve the mystery of the sands and then find Dry Dry Ruins in Dry Dry Desert. How would he even know to go to the desert anyway? So I'm not worried at all. In fact, I'm so calm I'm gonna go to bed now."

and here, guess which one is Bowser and which one is Ryu:

#1)"True victory is to give all of yourself, without regret."

#2) "I know what you're thinking....all this power, AND looks, too!"

Guile makes more sense, Chun-Li is still working for Interpol and if you beat Bison with her you get to choose her going back to normal girl life. Guile however gets justice.

see? that's why i absolutely love both Bowser and Ryu. Ryu is the definition of an honorable fighter who deserves respect while Bowser is an undeniable pimp who offers great comic relief.

And Terry's a mix of them both. He's got honor but doesn't need respect cause he already has it. Plus he's still pimping on girls even at age 35 and his Engrish is tops.

Hopefully this match will now put the final nails into the coffin of those "the Spring contest had different voting patterns because it was a Villains contest" theories. It should be clear now that voting during the Villains contest was pretty normal.

CATS won't ever win a match. Because he will always be a bottom seed he'll always be up against characters he can't beat. So tragic.

D'oh, Lee kept it out.

Anyway, Ryu's rather disappointing here for those who wanted a close match. Still, at least it keeps the bracket alive and doesn't cost me six, and a highish oracle pick should be OK.

This opens up a possibility, however, that Bowser is quite a bit above his 2k3 level. That'd say only good things about Chun-li and my bracket pick of Bowser over Snake, so I like it. I like it a lot. I mean really, there's not a damn reason for Ryu to have gotten weaker, right?

Oh, and I'm still thinking 70-75% prediction is still way too high for Bowser here, I'd go with 60ish.

This is rather harsh, though. I mean, it can't be me, right, that's seeing this and thinking "Bowser > Sonic?". I'd not be opposed, really, but he's got room to gain in the day and if he takes Ryu below the 42.91% mark this is indeed a bigger beaitng than Mario is expected to give Ryu. According to the SpC2k5 results this should end at a 46-54. Bowser is smashing face, handily... and even if I believe that Ryu dropped some this is still beyond the expectations 2k3 Bowser had set. Please, dear god, I hope the casuals didn't see it coming.

The casuals have seen this coming. They've been overestimating the villian contest to hell. I wouldn't be shocked if Bowser had over 60% to win the division.

That's not hurt 'em much so far. Ganondorf lost the tip of his boot somewhere inside the Final Fantasy X franchise, and Bowser is putting the screws to Streetfighter.

Kefka did play a hand in mucking up A LOT of brackets, though. Still can't believe that percentage vs. Vercetti, on top of Gordon Freeman ftw.

I don't think it's fair to say they are overrating the SpC2k5 after seeing both ganon and Bowser in action here. They look legit, and at least Bowser doesn't make Sephiroth look any weaker than he was in 2k4.

If Ryu is constant from 2k4 then Bowser = 36.63 RIGHT NOW. Before the day vote. That right about in the middle of Mario and Sonic. Now, if Ryu is constant and this Bowser were to be correct for the spring contest that'd put Speh around 45.28 on the old BL. I like that :)

If Auron is constant from 2k4 (and assuming no SFF from Sephiroth) then Ganon is 31.99%. If we hold this true then of course Speh = 38.24 :(

Baseless Assumpiton: Ganon badly overperformed as he was the "last hope" and Bowser performed according to his actual strength.

Oh, and... cause it's cool... If this current % = Bowser's true strength (and Ryu is constant, natch) then Chun-li is at 24.98, approximately equal to Diablo, and she'd beat Bison by more than 5% without SFF and would in fact be the second strongest street fighter. Oh yeah, I like it a lot.

In response to the quotes way up there^^^
#1 is defitieyly Ryu. Bowser would NEVER say anything classy like that. And I believe #2 was a Bowser quote in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door.

I think so far the vilians contest has proved to be pretty acurate. Bowser and Gannondorf are both in the Sweet 16. Diablo won. Kefka was upset in a vatch that was very "close" to say the least. Ocelot underpreformed. They weren't perfect, but they are more than useless to say the least.

Even though I like Bowser, this is the only thing I'm liking about this match right now. Chun-Li is definately looking better the way this match is going.

Just to pull out some comparisons between SFs common opponents for kicks.

vs Samus: Ken - 34.69%, Ryu - 42.15% Difference: 7.46
vs Sonic: Ken(2k3) - 31.09% , Ryu(2k4) - 44.46% Difference: 13.37
