There's nothing surprising about Bowser doing real well early. He's both the board favorite and the heavy bracket favorite.

If this match works like Bowser vs. Chun-Li, then Bowser should drop slowly until about an hour from now. That'll be around the percentage he finishes with. Though after that Ryu should continue to gain until the morning; but those gains will be erased by the morning vote.

Looking back at his match with Chun-Li, Bowser was pushing 70% for the first 15 minutes. Ryu ought to bring the percentage down a bit here soon.

Everybody with a score of 10 or less got the match wrong. So much for being a bracket buster. Kirby was actually the favorite to take down Tidus. For the first time in almost a week the -3s don't do the best. In fact they did quite poorly on this match.

21 people fell off the Top 50 today. Shrimpcracker89, darkone_420, pie14pie, Vanhugen, Zealot185, DDRSoulEdge7, OK_Undertow, Vip3r_Vixen, dtboy, Heroisch_Sonic, tapotti, no_cure, nez77, JDTAY, archbishop, LoopZoop, Dancingbaby, Ghost617, Paratroopa1, Finalxflash and Dark115 did not have Kirby winning the match.

lightspear was on the Top 50 and got the match incorrect but makes it back on as a -3 instead of a -1.

i found it amusing, though, that he fell off the Top 50 when Magus lost, got back on when Gordon lost, fell off again when Pac-Man won, and returned to the Top 50 yet again when Ganondorf won. now, he's all the way up to 7th. w00t!

The 2004 adjusted stats project Ryu to beat Bowser with 51.6%.
The 2003 stats project Bowser to beat Ryu with 50.45%.

Hmmm... I suppose one could make a case for Bowser underperforming against Cloud in 2003 and then getting SFF'd in 2004, meaning he was underrated all along.

I think alot of characters dropped from 2k4. Alucard and Ryu are the clear examples though.

Once again, Bowser is strong with the night vote. Sonic isn't. There's a difference here.

And as I said before this match began, if anyone wins easily, it's Bowser. That's pretty much the best predictor of who will win, at least it has been for me thus far.
