Simple Explanation of Extrapolated Standings:
A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

About Nintendo dominating this contest, lets take a careful look shall we.
There are only 5 matches involving a Square char and a Nintendo char in which we know the apporximate strength of both contestants.
First, Ganon vs. Yuna, Yuna overperforms by leaps and bounds here, especially if you believe Sp2k5 Ganon.
She lost the match, but I'll give the statistical advantage to Square, 0-1.
Second, Zelda vs. Vivi, Vivi bombs here, statistical advantage to Nintendo, 1-1.
Third, Samus vs. Frog, Frog bombs as expected, statistical advantage to Nintendo, 2-1.
Fourth, Ganon vs. Auron, no matter which X-stats you use for either char, Auron overperforms, statistical advantage to Square, 2-2.
Last, Kirby vs. Tidus, Tidus bombs here, statistical advantage to Nintendo, 3-2.
So, thus far, Nintendo lead Square 3-2 in terms of statistical advantage, I wouldn't call that total domination.

Like I was about to post in the other topic...
A few weeks back, I was trying to decide where Fox would land in 2004. I used his 30% against Cloud, and found out he would get somewhere around 25% on Link in 2005 (not including SFF). Of course, it was just a rough estimate, and doesn't include low vote totals in 2002 or a boost from Fox.
I'm think he could place near Luigi or Vercetti.

Actually, that was a huge exaggeration, it's Alucard who got 30% against Cloud 2k2.

Oh, here's what I did.
I was trying to figure out a good spot for Fox on the stats, but working with 2002 x-stats = pretty hard to do.
I made Cloud equal to Sephiroth (even though we all know he would have been higher then Sephy), and got Fox up to 25% on 2002 Link. Since 2002 Link = 2003 Link (apparently), he would get 25% against him again. Therefore, he got 7.5% SFF from Link, which doesn't seem too bad.
If Fox was plugged into the 2003 X-Stats at 25.5%, he would be right under Vercetti, and stronger then DK and Luigi.

From the last topic (I just had to address this one):
he may beat Kirby, but I know that I wouldn't expect the match to be 55-45 Squall, either. personally, I'd take Kirby in a close one
There is really no reason at all to believe Kirby could beat Squall now. None whatsoever. I don't know where people are getting this idea that Squall is so easily beaten.
Once again, this match pretty much lines up with 2004 Kirby vs. unadjusted 2004 Tidus. Kirby's overperforming a small bit, which you could chalk up to new releases.
Oh, and it's official: Ramza > Tidus now.

DAYUM! Almost at 58%! Kirby is exposing Tidus for the weak bastard he
is. I hope this is a Kirby increase, because Kirby > Bowser/Ryu
would kick ass.
Hell, Kirby to the Final 4!
Oh, and 35.13% had Sora > Alucard...ouch. Alot had Kratos/Alu winning that 4-pack. Today is the boards turn to get owned.

Does this mean that Ramza Beoulve = Tidus in terms of popularity, since
in 2003 Kirby defeated him by almost exactly the same percentage? Maybe
I should create a Ramza Beoulve Army next year.
Also I find it interesting that the 2004 SFF Adjusted X-Stats predict Kirby over Tidus, though not to this degree.

why is it madness? there's no good data on 2k4 Squall, Tidus or Kirby.
the only thing we've got is that 55-45 match from last year between the
two, and Kirby's obviously increased.

I'll believe that MM/Tidus was accurate after seeing this, but not MM/Link. that's unreliable data.
as for what it would take, it depends on what you think of each character. Kirby over Ryu would put him around 2k3 Squall's level.

Well, it makes sense that Kirby increased slightly, given the
popularity of his recent DS game, which got some pretty good reviews.
It seems preposterously unlikely that it will be enough to take Squall
though. Then again, Knux did beat Magus, so who knows?

I'd still take Squall over Kirby, but it'd be a lot closer. Like 51-49 close.

Squall would get 53% at the least, and that's just being generous of a Kirby increase.

No, not at all. I can't find any reason to like that thing.

And I wouldn't even think twice about taking Squall over Kirby again.

My confidence in Squall has increased after this. Though I still think
some of this is a Kirby increase, I am now more confident that Squall
is indeed in the 30% on BL area, and thus should defeat Knuckles
without too much cause for concern.
Squall>Knuckles is still not certain, but I think we can be more comfortable with it now.

Kirby ripping Tidus apart like this dampens my hopes in Knux being able
to take on Squall. Oh well, I've always got your back, Knuxie! ^_~
