Shadow > Knuckles is the one thing that has been shown in that stats that I always disagreed with and thought was funky. But of course, couldn't prove.

Maybe over-rated in 2k3, but you'd be hard-pressed to say Shadow was over-rated in 2k4, where he is dead-even with Knuckles in the stats. Tidus beat Shadow in a close match last year too; with or without adjustments, Tidus is expect to get 50.81% on Knuckles last year...yet, if you assume Magus 2k5 = Magus 2k3 and Knuckles 2k3 = 2k4 = 2k5, then suddenly Knuckles is expected to win with 51.82%. Keep in mind that both results could have the winner changed by simple fluctuation, too, and that some of this relies on two-year-old data...

...that'd be a damn good match, heh.

I'm sure that only came up due to one fluke result anyway. In fact, I'd say Tails would have had a chance to be stronger than Shadow, if Tails wasn't just useless in every respect :-)

Yeah, somehow Shadow going from clearly above Knuckles to equal to him to well below him just... feels weird. Although I'll be happy if he really is that weak.

I'd love to see that. I'd love to see Ryu win, he's one of my favourites in the contest, and I think I have him getting to the final in my favourites bracket. I don't care that my bracket says Bowser. There's only two ways I can lose the gurus contest and I can't win prizes anyway. Plus, Ryu/Kirby would be a better match than Bowser/Kirby.

Actually, I'd think SFF would work against Tidus, since given a choice between Tidus and the other 3 FFX characters, I'd vote for the other 3 easily. Tidus in general is not the most likable character.

Auron's the only one I'd give Tidus a chance at head-to-head; Rikku and Yuna have two great-selling big-name FF games to their names as opposed to Tidus's one, and decent-lookin' women will get more votes from a male-oriented site like this from people who haven't played the games than a feminine-lookin' man. I wouldn't expect Tidus to get embarrassed, but I wouldn't expect him to win against either of them...

...then, for Auron, I've simply decided Auron's out of Tidus's reach to do much about.

I'm thinking Bahamut could beat some of the "Noble Nine" if he could get in. I could easily see him being stronger than someone like Aeris, and he's in more of the FF games so therefore has a wider appeal.
