Looks like poll 841 was pretty accurate after all. The only mystery is "Would Lulu really do better than Yuna?"

this is scary what kirby's done today. he's gone from low midcarder to
potential division taker. that seems bizzare for some odd reason

So......call it now. Bowser or Ryu? I've changed that selection so many
times that it isn't even funny, but I ended up with Bowser

Yeah, I meant 2k4 unadjusted Tidus, heh.
Man, imagine the brackets DECIMATED if Kirby was to beat Solid Snake. While I don't buy it happening, I don't completely believe Solid is at his 2k3 level either...
...man, this contest rules.

Bowser rather easily. I have a feeling his performance will create just as much buzz as Kirby's will here.

by the way does anyone have a graph of how the votes are coming in like
the one cjayc showed us for kefka/vercetti? i just want to see how bad
it makes tidus look. i mean losing more than 100 votes an update is
pretty bad

It seems to indicate that he's very close to his adjusted 2004 number, depending on where Zelda is.
And then we look and Tidus, and...well...

Heh, you know what I wish for now? I wish Cecil would have been
replaced with Bomberman this year; that would have really thrown the
"lol x-stats" people into a fiesta if Tidus deserves to be adjusted
(which looks doubtful, but work with me). Just to catch a glimpse...
2k2: Bomberman gets 45.04% on Kirby.
2k3: Bomberman gets 37.18% on Kirby.
2k4: Bomberman gets 39.18% on Kirby.
2k5: Bomberman currently gets 35.95% on Kirby.
*realizes it's not half as bad as I was expectin' before I started this post*
...ya know, I wouldn't be too surprised at that right now, actually. Between Kirby probably gainin' and the stats not accounting for a possible Bomberman drop this year (which, mind you, 2k3 was his weakest year; high vote-totals may hurt him), and that's actually pretty reasonable.

And for the record, adjusted Kirby beats unadjusted Tidus with 57.13%.
I'd think the night vote will lower Kirby's currently ridiculous margin, but then again, he's dominated the entire match. I'm actually pretty surprised with that Bomberman-Kirby Stat, makes you wonder how many people actually looked into the X-Stats before deciding Tidus was shoe in, because a gain like that was actually fairly predictable, assuming Bomberman's fanbase has stayed fairly consistent (which it more or less has).
My guess is if we'd seen those stats after Tidus-Bomberman there'd be a lot less people surprised right now, since even using 04 Bomberman-Kirby, a Kirby win in this match would have looked likely. Excellent post, Harrich.
