Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 215
From: therealmnm | Posted: 8/24/2005 11:12:39 PM | Message Detail
I actually have TOO many games to play right now. I just beat Metroid Prime 2 this week. I beat Tales of Symphonia a couple of weeks ago. That game completely diverted my attention. I also finally beat Majora's Mask. I like it better now that I have actually played through the whole thing.

I'm currently playing through Twin Snakes. I already have the original Metal Gear Solid, but I decided to replay it using MGS2 gameplay. I wanted to play through the story again before I play MGS2. I've had MGS2 for almost 3 years now and I've barely touched it... I'm putting off MGS3 until Substinence comes out. Then I get the original MG and MG2. :)

After that, I'll actually get around to beating Viewtiful Joe and the original Devil May Cry, another game I've had for the longest, but just wasn't motivated to beat. I also have MMX8, Xenosaga, and GTA:SA to beat eventually.

Then, after all that... when I get my full-time job, and move to whatever city I get the job in, and when I don't feel like going out, but don't have anything else to do, and I am dying of boredom... I MAY decide to give Knights of the Old Republic another chance. That game starts off horribly... Yet everyone claims its amazing...

I'm almost thinking I'm gonna have to get a DS around the Christmas season, so I can get Kirby Canvas Curse, the new Mario Brothers game, and Mario & Luigi 2. Those are three games I really want.

Likewise. I'm waiting on Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi 2, Sonic Rush, and DEFINITELY Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. DoS put me over the top. The trailers for that game are absolutely AMAZING.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Sonic Rush. I've been thinking about picking up one of the Sonic Advance games. Are they any good?

Hmmm...Snake might get 54.40% before this is all said and done. He's made a little gain with the second night vote.

And this ought to overtake Ganon/Yuna here within the next three updates.

I haven't really given the Sonic Advance games the amount of time that I should. They are all pretty decent and play just like the Genesis games. You even get a fully playable Amy Rose (I know you love that Leonhart)...

I just haven't been giving them the time of day. I actually beat the first Sonic Advance with Sonic, but I don't remember a thing about it. o_O

That's all I need to know. I'm sold.

And I'll say that Snake had 75% of the brackets getting past Zelda.

I expect Snake to be a heavy bracket favorite...but then again, Zelda has the potential to cause a lot of trip ups...

Snake with 69%. <______<

I really doubt Snake will be that high. Alot of people seemed to have taken the Zelda upset just looking at the leaderboard...

Snake will have 61% of the brackets on his side.

So I've broken down and got Chrono Trigger.

It's okay so far (I'm at the 2nd time place), but I'm expecting this game to start to pick up soon.

Snake with 40%. Mega Man only had 52% over her, and it seems like the casuals have gone Zelda-crazy this year, with all the Zelda brackets that have been going on and off the leaderboard.

Well, we're not quite sure how much Zelda is being overestimated. Snake only had 68.18% getting out of his four pack in 2004 though, probably a good number coming from mass overestimation of Kefka.

And why is the DK/MC pic so much smaller than all the others?

Perhaps CJay is gonna change the front-page format that day? Maybe he simply couldn't find a good way to have MC/DK with a pic as big as usual? I really don't know what's up with that.....

Alucard's clinging to a 10 vote lead or so. this is closer than I expected - I figured 55-45, Alucard to start the match out, followed by Sora coming back after a few minutes.
