Ganon in 2k3 is clearly overrated. Adjust him with Tidus 2k4 and he
loses to Zelda. Of course, I wouldn't adjust him down quite that far,
but he wouldn't get over 56% by any stretch.
It would also be incredibly foolish to adjust him down with 2004 Tidus, if only because you act as though those three will always remain that close to each other. And I think it's plenty possible that Ganon get 55% against Zelda.
Why would Zelda's gain be less than Ganon's? Both of them had equal representation relative to the rest of the series in ZCE,
Ganon has and more than likely always will play a far more prominent role in those games than Zelda does. She, more or less, is the damsel in distress. I can see far more reason for people liking Ganon out of that than Zelda, if only because her role tends to be very small in those games.
and there's been more TP info on Zelda than on Ganon.
I don't believe Twilight Princess would do anything to anyone but Link, and even then I would suspect it to be small.
Well, with the AC delay being pretty much confirmed now, the FFVII crew has it's work cut out for it.
It wasn't as though they were going to breeze right through everything to begin with. But they're still capable of doing what everyone has been calling for them to do.
Is that the one with Vincent in that people were saying would carry him to winning his division, the ToC and the presidency of the USA, or is that the other one?
That's Dirge of Cerberus. Advent Children was just there to potentially help him against Crono.

Maybe because Bowser got 40% on Sephiroth, something I don't think
Snake can do, while I figured that Bowser would beat Zelda 55/45 both
before and after her match with Vivi. Naturally, I thought that would
come with SFF after Vivi's match, but, hey, I'll take this.
What I don't understand is how people can be confident with Ryu over Bowser after Ryu's match with Rikku or Tidus over Kirby after Tidus' match with Mega Man.

I don't know how anyone can believe Bowser will take Snake after this match.
There's no reason to change your opinion one way or another based on this match. I would have always taken Bowser over Zelda, long before this match even happened. Snake's performance today falls right in line with an adjusted 2004 Snake and a constant Zelda. There may have been some changes happening for both, but I certainly don't believe Snake has done anything to jump out of Bowser's reach.

Ocelot's bombing against Pac-Man doesn't speak all that highly of
Bowser's number, nor does the fact that he faced Sephiroth, someone not
exactly famed for his consistency. I honestly wouldn't dare take
Chun-Li or Bison over Ken, but based on the Spring Contest and Bowser,
they would be marginally stronger. I don't buy it at all.

I wouldn't take those two over Ken either, but that's because I think
he's stronger than his last stats said too. Not that Chun-Li or Bison's
values were incorrect.

35% on Mega Man? 25-27% on BL, exactly where Magus is going to end up?
I'm fairly confident that Kirby could do better than that. And that
thing where he increases every year for no apparent reason couldn't
hurt, particularly when he has a few reasons to increase this year.
Tidus, on the other hand, seems to be in decline.

I actually think Tidus's performance last round was pretty good. I
think this topic underestimated KoAC. The game has more mainstream
appeal then some people give it credit for. Kirby vs Tidus is Snake vs
Zelda part 2. Tidus should win comfortably, even with the Nintendo
boost.

I'm not saying I'd be surprised at Kirby beating Tidus, nor would I
really mind it. The way I see it...If Alucard beats Sora easily, Kirby
will beat Tidus. If Sora wins, then it's up for grabs.

If you set Pac-Man equal to Kefka, his matchup with Ocelot is well within a reasonable margin of error. It turns the match into a toss-up, which it was. As far as Chun-Li or Bison over Ken, I'm not too sold on Ken's strength myself. He had probably the WORST two possible first round matchups that anyone has had outside of CATS.
There's nothing so far that has proven the spring contest stats to be a fluke. As long as Ganon does well, then Bowser should do equally well in this contest.

Ahhh, a nearly flawless oracle pick today. I had Snake with 54.20%
Very, very nice. Though, I voted for Zelda and like her better, I'm not
sad she lost, Snake is cool too. Besides, Zelda winning would haved
messed a ton of people's brackets up. Badly. So it's all good I
suppose.

To note afew things about that list I just saw:
--Ryu is the only opponent who made that list every year (save for the Villain Contest).
--Zero, Magus, and Bowser has made that list for the two summers they've been here.
--Link takes **** from nobody who isn't Noble Nine, especially in comparison with the other members.

'Twas understood, Leonhart. Last thing I'll note though is that, from
these lists alone, Solid Snake and Sonic have gotta be battling it out
for the least impressive overall (with an edge to Solid). Expectedly
enough, they're who the majority of us consider to be the weakest of
this group.

Nice list there. Ryu always has a noble duel with one of the noble nine, and goes out very nicely. It's kind of a shame that he'll be losing to the first non-noble 9 character this year, if and when Bowser can beat him. But Bowser is pretty strong, so if he loses, it won't be a pity. And besides, Ryu has a very good chance to win still.

Ya know, I just got to lookin'...Ganon had 50.68% of the brackets as a
new-comer 12-seed against the 5-seeded Tidus in 2k3. Fast-forward to
yesterday, where Ganon had 67.25% of the brackets to get out of his
four-pack which included the 2-seeded Auron...though he's coming hot
off the trails of being a runner-up in the Villains Contest.
What I'm gettin' at is this: if Tidus/Auron happened in the first round (and let's assume it was seedless, a contest first, heh), who do you think would have the bracket advantage?

Whoever wants to do it can go ahead, but we need to designate one person so we don't end up with multiple topics.

Actually, if nobody objects, I'd like to make the next one. Cool with everybody?

heh, amazing what happens when Ulti isn't here.
I can do it if you like; I'm around a lot thanks to being online at work. if someone else wants to, though, they can.

Cool with me, HaRRicH. I really don't care who makes them as long as the format is correct.

yeah, I don't think anyone cares who actually makes the topic, as long as it's not TG or someone who never posts in here.

Format? HA! I wouldn't mind seeing some chaos in the first post, personally.

I'd feel unclean after posting in a TG Stats Topic.

by the way, I noticed Ulti's acronyms page is out of bandwidth. maybe we should note that in the first post?

Eh, the first post is a lil' too late right now, heh. If somebody'll
e-mail Ulti and/or MMX though, it ought to be fixed or dealt with soon
though.

Ganon would get 55% on Zelda only because of the SFF..
I would still go
Snake > Magus > Ganon > Zelda
Meaning..
If Snake played Magus = Snake
If Magus Played Ganon = Magus
If Ganon Played Zelda = Ganon due to SFF
however..
Zelda would beat Magus head up and Zelda > Ganon if SFF didn't exist.
