I still think Frog over-performed so much more because he got a CT sprite than because Solid got a bad pic. Afterall, Magus did the same thing against Link, and most/all of us have said that Kefka would be stronger with a sprite of him (in human form). Solid **** certainly won't help his cause, but I wouldn't think it'd cost him the match against Sora unless it's close.

Besides for the Sims, EA only does license and sports games. So all of their charecters are ineligable.

This topic is hugely underestimating Ryu. This guy has been consistently good all three years, and never once has he been hidden behind a "debatable opponent". He's never lost with less than 40%, and I think that counts for more than you'd like to think. 45% on Sonic > 32% on Link or Cloud... I believe that, and continue to believe that. Regardless of what X-Stats say.

Ryu with 52% in a few days... *insert cliche phrase involving reading material here*

Vivi, Zelda, and Solid are all shakier from 2k3 and up than Vyse (from what we've seen thus far, anyways). We don't know if Vincent's stronger or weaker than Tifa, granted, but we have a good idea on Tifa; her match against Vyse is pointing to her dominating Sonic and Mega Man (I think beating Crono, too?). While I don't think she'll DOMINATE, per say, I currently think Tifa's taking down Sonic and Mega Man.

I feared either her OR Vivi could beat Solid at first, and I know both Ulti and (I think) RPGuy thought mighty hard about it since her 2k3 number was still stronger than Solid's 2k4 number.

it's funny how much one match sways things. very few people (4, I think) were expecting Zelda to beat Snake before she beat Vivi. I wouldn't call 45% on a Noble Nine character disappointing. she's at a solid 32% or so on the x-stats, assuing nothing weird happens. that's pretty good.

and I'd take her over Ryu, yeah.

I won't say it's impossible for Vyse to drop, but he was very consistant from 2k3 to 2k4. Vyse also lost to Cloud last year, so him being so consistant has nothing to do with SFF (not that you're implying it; I just know others do). I just don't think Vyse could drop so much against Tifa less than a year later from his match against Cloud. One other thing about Vyse dropping so much is that I don't buy him gettin' too close to Ramirez's numbers. A lil' drop, sure, I'll accept that, but I just think that, all things considered, Tifa is gonna make it to the Final Four.

Tifa might beat Sonic. Vincent doesn't even get to Crono, and would lose that match anyway. As for another, the only real possibility is that Snake slips up. Which isn't going to happen. Tifa>Sonic is the only result that could change things.

1 out of every 6 people (approximately 16000) would need to have Ryu > Bowser > Chun Li. I just can't see that happening, and I rank them Ryu > Chun > Bowser.

Ryu gained 8496 votes in this poll as opposed to Ken. He's already halfway there, and there are three factors I believe that make this very attainable against Bowser.

1. Higher vote totals mean Ryu has the potential to rake in more votes.
2. Samus, being the more popular character here, is more likely to have more people that think Samus > all SF characters, than people who have Bowser > all SF characters.
3. I think Ken is significantly more popular than Chun Li (speculation, but not without support). Meaning it's easier for Chun Li to get a character stuck between Ryu than it is for Ken to.

And, Rikku's an unknown... I wouldn't doubt she's a bit more popular than Tidus, actually. She seems to be the second most popular in general.

That's not exactly what I was saying. Those cases are irrelevant anyway as Bowser has already lost his votes there.

What I was saying is that it's less likely for the order to be Ryu > Samus > Ken than it is for Ryu > Bowser > Chun Li, because Samus has a higher potential to be in the position of Samus > Ryu > Ken (Chun Li). (she's stronger, after all).
