At this rate, Snake will end around 54%.

In which case, a static Vivi wouldn't be too farfetched, because that margin would set Snake around his former glorious 2K3 level. Which isn't farfectched since the high vote totals would tend to give him an advantage.

Zelda's rising almost a tenth of a percent every update. I think she'll finish with more than 46.

Nah, the lead is way past the point of no return, but she will more than likely take some more updates over the next 6-8 hours.

She will probably get her percentage over 47% before Snake regains his footing and gets the match to end prolly 53.5/47.5.

Maybe Zelda could get to 47% though.

Snake's starting to increase his percentage again. Perhaps the day vote isn't favoring Zelda as much as we thought it might.

And I have been a proponent of the idea that higher vote totals favor certain characters more than others. Dante is one who stands out in my mind, and Solid Snake might just be another one of those. Remember that his best year was 2003, when vote totals were at their peak.

And I think tomorrow's match says quite a bit about Tidus/Kirby as well. If Sora wins easily, Tidus looks good. If Alucard wins easily, Kirby looks good. If it's close, then it'll be a close one.

I laugh at all the people who said "It pains me to say, but Zelda will win this". XD You people were STILL saying **** after what Knuckles did to Magus? Don't make me twist an organ.

The only thing she won is a hard-kick in her rear end and a slap in her face from the N9. :-)

First Magus, now Zelda. Tell me you're not impressed at the endurance the Noble Nine is showing this contest. :-)

You hype-makers = owned. Long live the Noble Nine.

You guys are going to bandwagon Bowser now, right? Um, how much of an overperformance would Bowser have needed vs Sephiroth to equal Snake?

We know Magus>Ganon and Knuckles>Magus, we can transitive Ganon>Bowser through Sephiroth (in a match two days apart), and we have seen three times that Solid>Knuckles, it makes Bowser>Solid very difficult to believe.

Except Magus > Ganon was apprently only applicable in 2003.

There's no way Magus is going to repeat that after what we've seen out of him against Knuckles.

Raise your hand if you would honestly choose Magus in a rematch with Ganondorf, or if you think it'd even be that close.

Anyway, since Snake is showing some 2003-like levels here, Even Ganondorf would have a hard time taking him down.

Bowser performed a little worse than him, so although he has an outside shout, I wouldn't bet on it.

40% on Sephiroth still says a lot. I don't think Snake would be able to pull that off at anytime... Especially after seeing Sephiroth rip Liquid Snake a new one, overperforming on him even AFTER considering Frog being overrated.

Zelda's good match against Vivi caused raised expectations for her to beat Snake. Before, we were thinking that she would be comparable to Aeris. It looks like she's a bit stronger than her, but nothing too farfetched. I think Ganon and Bowser are two entirely different beasts. Even if Snake can take them down, they still would undoubtedly make him sweat.

It's not like Snake had one fluke match last year. He underperformed on Knuckles, Frog, AND Mega Man. I don't see him just jumping back to 2k3 levels like nothing happened. But if anything, I put more in the stock of Bowser being stronger than his 2k3 indicated than Snake weakening. And when it comes down to it, I simply think that Bowser is more popular than Solid Snake.

That wouldn't necessarily mean Snake is weaker. It would just mean that Sephiroth overperformed. Characters do experience down years, for whatever the reason. Sonic had his in 2003, and he rebounded. Snake had his last year, and he seems to be rebounding this year.

Something happened to Snake last year that's obvious. But the high vote totals are helping him along with most likely a MGS3 boost. I can see him jumping back to 2k3 levels.

So wait, Crono can finally take down Mario in 2k4 (but not in 2k3), but Magus is going to find a way to drop 10 full percent, against the same character he beat in 2k3? I will buy Ganondorf wins a rematch, but to say 60/40 is just utter nonsense.

*Hits Slowflake with the novel he is 'booking' it with*

Heh, based on Knuckles, he would come awfully close. You're assuming too much constancy for Ganondorf, or too much underestimation of Knuckles. I'm not sure which. Sonic characters seem to be relatively stable, from what I've seen. Heck, Tails predicted yesterday's match pretty closely.

Back from my classes, and Zelda hasn't done her part to make this any closer than percentage-wise, and we know how far that gets ya. Solid's won this match, though I wouldn't put it past Zelda to trim it afew hundred votes by night-time.

As a side-note, hell yes.
