It's believed Frog over performed, due the the "Solid ****" factor. Snake would likely do a lot better than Frog against Samus, but still lose.

This indicates three things from my perspective:

1.) Snake dropped in 2004. His performances against Knuckles and Mega Man are indicative of this.

2.) Frog overperformed on Snake, for WHATEVER reason. The only person performing worth a damn is Snake, while Frog/Liquid/MC all bombed.

3.) Snake has regained some of his strength, due to higher vote totals favoring him and the fact that MGS3 and his other games were liable to give him a decent boost.

The BOP has 78-73 Sora, with one poor soul who went with Kratos.

And, damn. That sucks, having perhaps the most awesome upset prospect shut down two minutes into the match. Still, it's highly unlikely he's going to break 45%... this match will then fall in line with the 2003 stats, meaning, Snake probably recovered some strength, which should be very reassuring for the masses who have him in the Final 4.

Snake wasn't able to do much with the 2nd night vote against Knuckles. Still, Zelda needs to be gaining now to have any chance. I think this match will end up closer than Ganon/Auron though, at least.

As is Kirby vs. Tidus .. It's not as overhyped as this match but I just can't see Tidus losing to Kirby in two days..

You know, I have been one of the biggest Tidus>Kirby people since Kirby throttled Cecil, but I no longer have such faith. I think Tidus uber-overperformed against Ganon and Shadow because he is a hero, and they are not. He will not have that advantage against Kirby. I still think Tidus will eke it out, but if I had a gun to my head, I would pick Kirby.

My bracket looks really good right now too... except for that jackass Magus winning his division.

I do take solace in seeing only 4 of the top 50 having Crono win the tournament. Which means if it does happen, I will jump at least 46 of the people ahead of me. But yeah, the whole Magus thing is going to kill most of the non-Squall brackets.
