Zelda vs Snake has been my most anticipated match of the contest since before round 1 started. I like both characters, but I would really like to see Zelda pull this one out. There's just one thing that really worries me... for Zelda to beat Snake, Vivi has to be about equal to Knuckles... and by extention, Magus.

Come on Zelda, make this a match.

I never saw Zelda beating Ganondorf, but that's just me. I think it would play out in Bowser/Yoshi fashion, with a tinier edge to Zelda due to being titular.

Everybody with a score of 8 or less got the match wrong. For what was supposed to be a close match, the top tiers were very one sided. High 80s in favor of Ganondorf. Spring Contest influence?

Only six people fell off the Top 50 today. J_A_C_K, blair_gilmore, Xsoldier50, Tenshigure, agutti and SupaTroopa1224 did not have Ganondorf winning.

I'm going to wait another update or two before calling the match overhyped. If zelda can get over 45% in the next two updates, then she might be able to salvage a close match out of the day vote. Still a 100 lead within five minutes doesn't look good.

It'll be next to impossible if Snake keeps up this percentage. It's a lot easier to fall from 67% to 59% than it is from 57% to 49%.

I don't think Zelda was even close to the board favourite. the people who have the underdog in their bracket always speak up in the hours leading up to the match - I actually thought Vivi was the board favourite based on all the pre-polls and board conversation and everything else. several people insisted that Auron was definitely the board favourite, too. same thing happened with Zelda.

Knuckles nearly barely won the day vote against Magus, a CT character. I think his day-vote king status comes largely from facing Snake, who is ass with the day-vote.
