Looks like most of the analysis crew decided to abandon the X-stats altogether, seeing that a constant Zelda from 2k3 would beat un-adjusted Snake 2k4 with 51%.

That's not even considering a possible increase for Zelda due to ZCE being packaged with millions of GC's, the increase that pushed Link above Cloud.

I personally hope Snake wins, but I have a feeling he won't, just like how I felt yesterday that Auron won't topple Ganon.

And a final comment on today's poll. It's interesting that even with all the glitches and voting problems the match had, it's looking to land very close to 100K. This match could have gotten around 105K I'm guessing if everything went fine.

After seeing how underrated Knuckles was in the stats (since I refuse to believe the entire gap was 100% Magus being overrated), that gives Solid some added space to distance himself from Zelda. Basically, Solid will play the role of Ganondorf, and Zelda the role of Auron. Expect the same match tomorrow.

Picking someone projected to get 49% to win with 50.5% is expecting a tossup on their favor.

But picking someone projected to get 49% to win with more than 51% is ignoring the X-stats.

Nothing wrong with that, mind you, it's just that IMO Zelda has more reasons to increase than Snake does.

So picking Snake to win despite already being below Zelda in the X-stats is essentially giving the X-stats the middle finger.

I agree. In terms of getting SFF'D, Ganondorf is far and away the most pathetic thing we've ever seen, and Zelda is not only hot, not only has the series name behind her, not only talks more than Ganondorf, but is essentially the series's #2 hero. She'd easily defeat him.

it's been a long time since I've seen a stats topic bumped.

some of these arguments for Zelda are getting silly - of course her match had more votes, it was against Vivi as opposed to Manny freakin' Calavera. Nintendo/Square always get the most votes, since most people either like one or the other.
