Auron's lost the day vote, fairly significantly, in every match but his match against Big Boss. And considering how poor MGSers are with the day vote (Snake lost it to Frog, of all people), I don't expect him to do very well today.

2000 votes is hard to come back from, but not impossible. 3000 is extremely unlikely.

I just can't see a METROID character SFFing a Zelda character.

Like I said the Gauntlet is overrated the only matches that might be close are Alucard/Sora and Bowser/Ryu

Ganondorf is doing better than his Sp2K5 ranking implies.

Albeit only barely. Bracket advantage included, he's probably right at it. Which isn't overperforming, but people were skeptical enough that Ganondorf truly was at that level to begin with. Especially after Magus's loss.

But Cloud probably had a big bracket-voting advantage over Sephiroth, translating into SFF. Auron is definitely higher than his 2004 rank lets you believe.

Well obviously. Measuring through Scorpion, Tails, and roughly Ness would give a better idea, and all of the above put him significantly higher. It's no coincidence.
