i just considerd something. Wario ware games are really damn populare, and i know hes obviously not the focus of the series but i have to wonder how well wario would do in this contest. any thoughts? not only does he get a bit of votes from wario ware, but hes got mario kart, his game boy games, and general nintendo votes coming to him. I think he has potential to be slightly above the vfl untill he gets sff by just about any nintendo character.

If you're going to tell me that over half of all the people that play Sonic have an abhorrent hatred of Shadow, I'm going to just have to laugh in your face. Besides, Shadow's numbers against Mario would seem to suggest the opposite.

And yeah, we can talk about 2k4 numbers and how Wario would place using those, but that's not exactly fair to the guy seeing as he didn't return, and we can't tell how much was year to year flucuation and how much was simply anomalous.

Yeah, but Shadow looks 'cool', while Wario can come off as obnoxious to many, and again, we could have that 'Sonic proxy' thing going on there for 2k3, for whatever reason. In any case, while I can respect and understand the logic behind it being an upset, I always thought that match was obvious from the beginning. But then again I always thought Squall/Luigi was obvious too. Maybe I just don't pay enough attention to these things.

Wario lost to Shadow in 2k3 with 35.1% before Shadow went on to impress against Mario. By the stats in 2k3, Wario beats Vyse with 60.43%...however, Mega/Tidus in 2k4 has given some serious doubt about Shadow's strength since Tidus/Shadow was such an even match the round before. If Shadow's true strength is really what 2k4 showed, there there's two options due to 20XXF...

--If you believe in 20XXF, Wario loses to Vyse with 48.86%.
--If you don't believe in 20XXF, Wario loses to Vyse with 43.97%.

...between 20XXF, Wario having new games, and us not seeing him in over two years makes all of this an uber-sketchy guide-line at best though, so judge for yourself from here.

What if it was just a 64, one-on-one character battle like this, but the loser of each match continues on? Since the average voter wouldn't know this due to not paying attention to the contest very much, it would be quite interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Terra somewhere around the Ultros number from the spring, because I still think that Ultros was overrated through Bowser. Still, I hope Dante turns out to be stronger than that would suggest.
