I never said Kefka was fodder. The whole point of FFF is that the weaker the opponent, the stronger fodder becomes, and vice versa.

Magus scores ~35% on Link.
Loses to Knuckles in 50/50 match, due to Magus being overrated.

Ocelot scores ~35% on Bowser.
Potentially loses to Pac-Man in 50/50 match, due to Pac-Man being underrated.

Thought that came to me, regarding a round 2 match.

Bowser beat Yoshi in 2k3.

Yoshi beat Luigi in 2k4.

Luigi beat KOS-MOS in 2k5 by more than Ryu beat KOS-MOS in 2k4.

...Is it just me, or is it looking really bad for Ryu?

Pac-Man beating Ocelot was overtly discussed, so this isn't anything like Magus vs. Knuckles.

And though I think Pac-Man might well win this match fairly comfortably by thousands of votes, I really think this might be one of the more overt cases of a picture hurting the match. I think Ocelot might be stronger in a "neutral" situation.

Though, I suppose I shouldn't count Ocelot out of this match quite yet.

Anyone know how Pac-Man has done with the day vote in the past?

What is this FFF stuff? As others have already stated multiple times, Pac-Man is not fodder.

And looking at the last topic, I like (Newlib's?) "****ing Frog Factor" better. Depending on how he does against Samus we might need to bring that up again...

Hey, if you want to talk about within the topic only, fine, but I saw my fair share of upset talking about the board (though not nearly as much as Pac-Man over Ocelot), naturally. Again, I say, smaller scale. Less powerful characters, less of a shock, less of an upset. But whatever, don't pay me any mind, I'm just the crazy guy in the corner.

Pac-Man is at his best in the morning. In the day time, he wasn't that great against Luigi, but then, that was Luigi... I'd say he's the favorite to win the day vote, but I doubt he'll pull away much.

As much as Frog gets into close matches, I can't see him doing 8% better than Sora, his unadjusted equal. But maybe he does have that loyal fanbase.

Pac Man ain't fodder, man! Jeez... it's "Old School" SFF in 2004 and then Crono/Kefka SFF in 2003. Pac Man has been hidden behind a mask for a long time.

Well, against Luigi, the first night vote was Pac Man's strongest time, he lost some in the morning, then he gained throughout the later afternoon-night... what the hell? That doesn't seem like what I'd expect. Maybe that was more Luigi fault than Pac Man's.

The problem with proving FFF is that we very seldom get fodder vs. fodder matches... and we'd need them to be sure of this.

But... it doesn't really matter that much. Fodder is just fodder... we don't necessarily need to know how strong they are.

Actually, I think that Pac-Man is probably the single best candidate we have for a fodder line benchmark. His strength shouldn't vary much from year to year, he should be able to take out weaklings, and he should fold against most respectable competition.

Ocelot could very well be fodder...hell, I think Kefka is fodder. And Vercetti may well have dropped after San Andreas, I wouldn't put it past him to be quite weak, too.

Remember, Big Boss did pitifully against Auron, and it's hard not to know who he is if you know and love Ocelot. Other than that, MGS gave us Liquid Snake, and he didn't even make it in this time. I'd say Snake has the same thing working in MGS that, say, Crono has for CT. They basically give a damn about him and not too much else, proportionally.

i can agree with that - Pac-Man isn't exactly going to increase or decrease, and if you suck you're going to lose to him.

man, if Pac-Man wins, he's going to get crushed by Yoshi and Ocelot's x-stat number is going to be pitiful.
