I just shelled out $19.99 for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle thanks to FourthDeus telling me that it's the best Sonic game

Hell, I could have told you that.

$20 for SA2B? The store got ripped off. ;)

Seriously, if you can see past the horridness that is Shadow, it is excellent. By no means my favorite 3D Sonic, but excellent.

I said PM2, not M&L... which bored me to tears anyway, never finished it. My bro did, though, and he says Luigi's awesome in there. I'll take his word for it, because Luigi owns.

Yeah, I know. I was just stating something that COULD have made Luigi gain, not that I believe it for a second. But anyways, you thought MARIO & LUIGI was boring, and not Paper Mario 2??? I literally fell asleep playing through Paper Mario 2. M&L is actually my favorite of the Mario RPG series...

PM2 was average. Not anywhere near the first one. But I at least completed it, and the Pit of 100 Trials rules. I'm a sucker for Savage Labyrinth-type dungeons, what can I say.

Yes, Luigi is very awesome indeed.

Oh, and I'm one of the few who feels this way, but...I like the original Sonic Adventure more than Sonic Adventure 2. I mean, I was expecting a bit more diversity considering they said you could play as the "good" side and the "dark" side, but it's essentially the same levels with a character swap. And they completely ruined Tails by sticking him into a mech. That is not the way he is meant to be played. Plus, there's one big advantage the original has over the sequel:

PLAYABLE AMY ROSE!

But either way, you should've shelled out an extra 10 bucks and gotten the Sonic Gems Collection instead. Sonic CD, yo.

Best Sonic game hands down. The Tails/Robotnik and Knuckles/Rouge levels are love or hate, but I loved every moment of it. The replayability alone is off the charts. I would say read my write-up of it, but it's going to take forever to get to it since it's so high up on my list.

Yeah, I rented SA2:B, and didn't like the whole tails in a mech thing...

Also, DANG IT! Yoshi is barely holding on to 74% of the vote... my Oracle was right on the money before, but now it's off by a bit... arrrggh...

The mech levels were done better in Sonic Adventure. Gamma moves so much faster than Tails/Robotnik. They should have left Tails gameplay the way it was in SA also.

And it's pretty hopeless if a best-case scenario doesn't have Pac-Man with even 51%.

There is one calculation that would be slightly more favorable for Pac-Man. If Bowser is dropped to his 2k3 level in the Sp2k5 stats, and if Kefka and Pac-Man have remained constant since '03, then Pac-Man would be projected to get 53.28% on Ocelot tomorrow.

This was about the only part of the entire wedding I got to help in, and given the crap I have to listen to during the dancing phase (Our first dance is to Dangerously in Love by Beyonce Knowles, for crissakes) I was allowed to pick whatever I wanted for dinner. I was going to piss everyone off and put in some much harder stuff, but I felt like being nice.

I'm surprised that you even got that part. For a wedding all you have to do is be there and say the right name.

Oh and you also have to have the rings.

Yay, I'm in the Top 50...I've waited so long to actually be up there aside from having an early bracket. :D Oh, and a higher percentage of people predicted Gordon Freeman to beat Leon Kennedy than TINA ARMSTRONG?

Something else I noticed: Gordon Freeman has faced a generic-looking character with a rather generic name every single year. Tina Armstrong, Max Payne, Sam Fisher, Leon Kennedy...who's next? (okay, so Max Payne isn't a generic character himself due to Bullet-Time and such, but his first and last names are generic individually)

Er, not reliable here, but if you measure Yoshi from 2K3, if you measure through today's match, Vyse/Laharl, and Vyse/DK, DK is equal to about is 2K4 unadjusted value. Sam Fisher vs. DK also suggests that the 2K4 unadjusted DK is accurate. This is also helps Tifa to not look quite as strong.

On the other hand, if you assume a constant Laharl from last year, Yoshi gets boosted to around 29.38% on BL. This could suggest that Bowser indeed underperformed in 2K3, as Yoshi vs. Bowser gets predicted almost perfectly using Bowser's Sp2K5 value and Yoshi's value through this method. This also bumps Luigi up to nearly 27% on BL. Again, something I don't feel like trusting.

Now, looking at the new pictures, do you guys think Tifa might not be as strong this round? It'll be difficult to judge, for sure, unless Tifa pulls a doubling.

Hello all. Sorry for not updating the site recently. My internet at home has been down all week, I just got it back up earlier today. I'll try to update things later on.

Not going online for so long is actually unsettling, but looks like I didn't miss anything surprising in terms of contest stuff.

I like how we're talking about who Jay is gonna face now, as opposed to if he gets in. JS has come a long way.

glad to have you back, cn. it's weird how being offline feels unsettling and unconnected to the world, even though it was completely natural a few years ago.

I want to see him face someone who is strong, just to see how badly Jay can get beat. Mega Man's my first choice because it's fun watching him blow out opponents, but Samus, Snake, and Link would all be pretty good. Mario and Cloud might get anti-voted too much for them to really put the hurt on Jay.
