Problem with that is that we know that this is Diablo's weakest part of the day but it only could be Kratos's weakest part of the day. Still hoping Kratos can hold on to 42% though.

Yes, but ToS isn't cult.

And ToS isn't exactly "cult." It's more like "extremely mainstream and the most popular non-Mario RPG on Gamecube."

Yeah, Kefka's and Wesker's strongest time was during the night as well. If anything, if this was their strongest time as well, they should've held even during the day (like Kefka and Wesker did).

After one hour, this match has 5060 votes.

Ness/CJ - 5122
Lloyd/Wesker - 5101
Sora/Agent 47 - 5235
Sonic/Jin - 4858

And with that, I go to bed.

Kratos lost another 69 votes that update. This is a clear sign of a comeback, as Kratos is far, far sexier than Diablo could ever hope to be.

I'm going to bed. Night all! :P

Well I will give you Kingdom Hearts, but I'd say that Chrono Trigger isn't much more main stream than ToS at this point.

Do I have to repeat who exactly they faced?

Do I have to repeat exactly who Diablo faced? We're assuming he's good with the day vote based on a comparable set of opponents, whereas it's more logical that as a Blizzard character he'd do better at night anyway.

This is really late, but I believe Harrich asked for Conker's Bad Fur Day sales along with Conker: Live and Reloaded figures.

Bad Fur Day sold around 400,000 copies while Live and Reloaded has sold around 212,000 -- it recently sold 62,000 as of July, according to NPD.

Ridley doesn't lose it like it's his job because well, he was in one match. For all we know he could be horrible with it, and I think he is, despite his Metroid status, he just seems like a cult character from a mainstream game to me. Meanwhile, M. Bison lost the day vote against every opponent he's faced.

Wesker, well who knows how bad he actually is with it? Say what you will about his opponents, but he won the day vote against all of them but Lloyd.

I'm just saying that you can't exactly use this defense against Kratos and then turn around and say Diablo has a good day vote. It doesn't add up.

How would you know how well Ridly does with the day vote?

Albedo is in an RPG with sa;es around TOS level.

Either you just proved that ToS is mainstream enough to win the day vote, or you proved that Diablo hasn't taken the day vote from anyone who is actually good with it.

Of course, we will find out who is right when we wake up anyway. And unless Diablo hasn't extended past about 2,000 votes, it's not like Kratos will be able to come back and win ANYWAY.

I think it's worth noting that Diablo hasn't gotten any linkage yet, from what I can tell. It won't make for much of it boost if/when the Diablo sites get involved, but it's something to keep in mind.

I don't think Kratos will be put under (though I haven't even looked yet) and that Lloyd will likewise brake in. For some reason I just think Wesker is underrated in the spring.

Strong's a bit of a misnomer. Not as weak would probably be more accurate.

And yes, somewhat surprised that Diablo isn't doing better right now, but I expect the percentage to increase through the day.

Using the Spring stats, in the Ridley ballpark if I've worked it out right. A slight bit below that, obviously.

Somehow, I'm starting to think Diablo will do bad enough against Sonic that he'll look like he fluked his win against Bison.

Either that, or Lloyd will break 30% on Zero.

I doubt that, I think ToS is popular enough to get a character in this contest next year, much like Vyse & Laharl. And remember it was Lloyd that got the major rally support, not so much Kratos, so I'd expect Kratos to be back, especially after today.

Lloyd is one of the few new characters I expect to come back next year.

Out of the new characters that have appeared so far in the contest, I expect these to return:

Joanna Dark(Perfect Dark Zero should be done or almost done by the next contest), Lloyd Irving(main character of ToS, probably a lower seed), Kratos(God of War guy, lower seed), King of All Cosmos(We Love Katamari should ensure a return), Vincent(trashed Kerrigan, he should come back)

I would put Diablo on that list but I would say the Spring Contest does count as a first appearance. He's going to be a mainstay anyway, IMO.
