I was just thinking about what would have happened if Magus was in the Spring Contest this year.

Would there have been any warning signs, and if so, would anyone have listened to them?

He would have ranked below Ganondorf and Bowser, so there definitely would have been warning signs, especially if he actually faced one of them rather than bowing out to Sephiroth. I would have probably listened to them, but not enough to put Knuckles over him. Certainly Squall, but not a first round exit.

Of all the newbie RPG characters that are not new-school Squaresoft, all of them have disappointed so far. Kratos seems to be somewhat living up to his hype, though. Of course, we'll see how the percentages change by the end of the day.
