TJF and/or a horrid Kefka pic?

Will you people please stop with blaming Kefka's picture for everything? It's almost like an automatic reflex used to compensate for his crappiness. He almost always has that picture.

And before people bring up Kefka/Wesker, be reminded that Luca Blight lines up with Magus if nothing happened there. He actually increases, so if anything, Kefka might have underperformed.

I just want to see how Kefka does with his standard sprite and/or Angel pic against standard opposition without SFF one day. Just to see if there's *really* any difference.

A regular sprite might make a difference, but I seriously doubt his last boss sprite would. I mean, you basically have to complete the game to recognize it, so why wouldn't you know who Kefka was in the first place?

Yeah, I'm not saying it would boost his recognizability factor, but it's a bigger casual draw than an effeminate clown or an indistinguishable piece of lettuce...

As much as I like Tifa and Vincent (two of the top three characters in the game, with Red XIII being the other), I think I will vomit if they meet eachother in the Final Four. That would be the height if GameFAQs fanboyism. Sonic SHOULD be able to take care of Tifa, and Mega Man if not, and Crono SHOULD be able to take care if Vincent.

Mithos probably performed well against Kefka because NOBODY who didn't know who Kefka was probably would not have voted for him, especially with him looking like that. Kefka doesn't really have the appeal that would make you want to vote for him....

At least in the Wesker pic, someone could look at the overall pic and vote for the angel with the heaven background instead of the random guy just standing there. I know it won't account for THAT much, but with characters as weak as Wesker and Mithos, every little bit can make a difference.

Diablo also only increased his lead by 16. Damn impressive from Kratos.

It still confuses me how Diablo is the only PC character with any semblence of strength. Everyone else, Kerrigan, Freeman, etc. are complete crap. So I ask, why Diablo? Not that I'm complaining, because Diablo kicks butt.

Random thought: Magus was outlasted by losers such as Geno, Jin, Vyse, Gordon Freeman and Laharl. Ouch.

It probably just goes down to the name. If Half-Life was called "Gordon Freeman", or Starcraft "Kerrigan", not only would the games have crappy names, but the characters might perform a little better.

Because Dialbo has some personality? PC gamers are pretty mature mostly, they probably don't care for someone like Freeman.

Kerrigan is just fodder.

Diablo has a grand total of ONE LINE throughout two gargantuan games. Great personality, there. He's evil. So?

Don't get me wrong, I love the big guy. It's just that Diablo is hardly Mr. Personality. If personality mattered, Kerrigan wouldn't be reduced to 21% on Vincent.

Kerrigan, for whatever reason, is just not linked to Starcraft by most people.

Ok so that's not it. Well Diablo's pretty big. I think the series outsold the Half-Life series. Plus, Diablo is automatically recognized as being from Diablo. Even with all this, he's still pretty weak. PC characters just don't perform on gameFAQs.

Diablo outsold Starcraft and Half-Life in NA. It's also the kind of game that gets a lot of FAQ-visiters.

Very easy explanation, I think.

The only reason I wouldn't want to see that is because of the potential SFF that could occur. Other than that, I'm all for it. Heh.

Crono doesn't display any personality. He follows Marle around and agrees with everything she says like the whipped little boy that he is. I have nothing against mute characters at all (see: Ness, Tir, that guy from Suikoden 2 whose name I think is Riou). It's fine to be a mute if you're still given an awesome personality, and if you play through EarthBound, Ness's personality is all over the place.

Crono doesn't display any personality.

Crono constantly displayed a personality, regardless of whether or not you're willing to recognize it. He didn't have any development, but it was quite clear he had a personality. I'm not talking about just that one scene either, there were plenty of others that gave it away.

I'd love to see Terra and Vincent in the Final Four. This would entail Vincent beating Squall and Crono, and Tifa beating Sonic and Mega Man. I don't particularly like any of those four characters, especially the last two. Sonic and Mega Man have become such jokes to the industry these days, thanks to companies who don't know how to quit while they're ahead.

Sonic was on the N-Gage, for crissakes.

I've beaten the game to death three times. You can sing Crono's praises all you wish, but you'll be quite wrong. He nods his head on occasion to agree with Marle and has one good scene where he decides to do something on his own. Ness completely and utterly kicks his ass.
