If Sonic septuples, I say he is the favorite in Sonic vs Mega Man. For now anyway.

Terry was still above 25% at this point, by the way. Looks like Harpy's
wish will come true here. I do think the day will treat Jin better than
Terry, though.

Against Sonic? It won't matter as his percentage won't be going up either way.

I'm beginning to think Mario might be Samus purely due to
bracket-voting after seeing just about so few entries with Samus as the
projected winner...

Sonic back under 80% by that last update. But with the day vote to look
forward to, Sonic shouldn't have to worry about hitting 80% at this
point.

It's very misleading right now. Samus is heavily favored by those who follow the stats. The same people who got slaughted on Ness vs CJ and Magus vs Knuckles.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Jin would be the type that would
"win the day vote" often against... well... not Sonic, and prevent
Sonic from squashing him as flat as you'd expect him to. I doubt Sonic
will gain too much %age when the day hits, I wouldn't be surprised to
actually see him lose it if Jin's low enough by the time it hits.

Also, of the 3 perfects who went down (who really shouldn't have...) they all three had Mario as champion. The 9 unrealistic perfects rage on...

Yeah, Conker will put up better numbers against MM for sure, but Conker
will also be much stronger than Jin. Jin is a rookie, but Conker has
been here since '03, of course he's gonna be stronger.
Mega Man will be able to put up an equal performance. Heck, with Sonic dropping a bit, Mega Man might look better.

I'm not so sure I would take Conker over Jin. Tekken 5 is pretty new

So, when does the "day vote" technically begin, anyway? 5 hours in? Or 6?

Crono got 77% on Conker. Sonic's sure to do better than that here on Jin. The foul-mouthed squirrel will likely be a good deal stronger. He's pretty close to the VFL, actually.

Yeah. Adjusted Mega Man is only projected
to get 78% without taking a Conker boost into consideration. If he
breaks 80, I'll officially drop the chance of Sonic beating Mega Man.
And for reference, unadjusted Mega Man is projected to get about 75%.

I won't be surprised to see Mega Man outdo Crono against Conker. I'm
looking forward to the Mega Man > Crono talk possibilities. I don't
think it'll necessarily mean anything even if it does happen, Mega Man
is a good fodder killer.
I'll admit Conker's the favorite vs Jin, I didn't even realize he was so "high". I'd still probably pick Jin though... heh.

If I were to guess, Conker would embarrass Jin. Not necessarily destroy
and blow him out, but it's hard for me to imagine Conker beating Jin in
a match closer than 60-40. Then, to quote Leonhart since it works with
my assumption, "Conker would be expected to get 61.24% on Kazuya, for
what it's worth." From there, add to it Conker's new Xbox game, and
everything should be set that Conker should be noticeably stronger than
Jin.
Mega Man'll look bad against Conker, too, I'm sure; between most likely having his unadjusted strength and Conker's new game, people will be upset that we all bandwagoned on Mega > Sonic. Whether they'll actually have true reason to be upset or not, that's still yet to be determined...but enough things have made it look bad for Mega Man so far.
While talking about Conker again, can somebody please find the sales for Conker's Bad Fur Day and Conker: Live And Reloaded?

Well I think Sonic's going to have to end up about 1% higher than he
did against Terry when the day vote hit for Terry > Jin. Whenever
the day vote actually does hit... still didn't get an answer on that.
I'll guess 5 hours in, based on when Sonic started to rise against
Terry.
So yeah, Sonic has to be at 79.4% by 5 hours in or Jin > Terry. That's my prediction.

This early voting pattern has been kinda unusual. If Sonic continues to
drop he might dip below 76% or even under 75% before the morning vote,
and if so, 80% might be somewhat tough for him. I still expect him to
get it though.

He's still doing slightly better than he
was against Terry. But the difference here is, whereas Terry was
stagnating, Jin seems to be on the rise. Jin might escape the
quadrupling yet if he keeps this up.

considering the Tekken-favorites poll, would anybody think Yoshimitsu

I wouldn't rule Mega Man trouncing Conker worse than Crono did outside the realm of possibility. Even though Conker just got a new game and Crono is the stronger guy in the elite class, no one seems to dispatch the weak stuff like Mega Man.
