I'll support that notion. Squall should, by all means, increase on what he has here right now...but Squall should do better against Geno than Dante did on Terra if Squall wants to keep lookin' like a strong contender for the Devil Division Championship.

I'd think Terra would be more popular than Geno. Their games are on the same console and are only, what, a few years apart at the most? Terra seems to be one of the main characters of her game, while Geno isn't, and FFVI is the more popular game in general. No idea how close it would/should be, but I'd take Terra in that fodder-fest.

In the same way I still made the leaderboard after Ridley lost to Diablo, despite having Ridley going to the Final Four; I got on the leaderboard when Liquid Snake beat Lavos, and at that time I had only lost one point (Ridley/Diablo). I didn't lose the other six points I knew I was goin' to lose for Ridley not even being in a second or third match until Bison/Diablo...

...so, essentially, this time next round, I wouldn't expect him to still be there.

FF VI > SMRPG

Terra's role in FF VI > Geno's role in SMRPG

Terra is arguably the most important char in FF VI, while Geno is far from being as important as Mario in SMRPG.

Both games have an ensemble cast, where each char doesn't terribly stand out, except for Mario in SMRPG.

All signs point to Terra > Geno so far...

And to say that Terra has "no fanbase", it's silly. And well, where were you before Terra/Dante? I agree that she isn't the most popular FF6 character, in fact, I'd probably put nearly half of the cast above her. (I've listed em like ten times) But she has a very loyal fanbase there... kinda reminds me of Geno's now that I think about it.

And that when I say "weaker than half the cast", it's probably more like "less than or equal to". I really only brought that list out for people saying "Terra's the best rep they've got".
