These two are mutually exclussive. Knux, in my opinion, isn't the biggest winner because he's doing what he is supposed to based on the information most of us chose to ignore.

Regardless of whatever information told us magus was overrated by this much, it wasn't significant enough for us to believe it. Knux isn't "doing what should be expected", if he was he'd have about 45%- at this point. Whatever information most of us chose to ignore existed, I don't think any of it made us think that magus was overrated enough to lose to knuckles. Out of all the contests on the board, not a single person had knuckles winning in them. Regardless if he's doing what he should be or not, that's some impressive odds to overcome.
