Squall may be stronger than Vincent without the SFF... but FF7 will take the SFF over FF8.
That is all I am worried about.
However his match with Dante will be telling.. we dont know how strong he is.

Is it possible that Link and his pals were actually weaker in 2003 than
they have been? It might explain Magus's overratedness better.

I have a very crazy theory regarding Magus' performance. Know that this theory is so crazy that it doesn't make sense to me...
Magus did lower than expected on every single opponent save for Link and Ganondorf, right? He made Luca and Sam look better than we thought they were, and even with a huge degree of SFF against him, he got lower on Magus than expected.
From this part on, this goes crazy.
What system was Chrono Trigger on? The SNES. The SNES also housed several Zelda games. I'm thinking that he managed to rSFF Link enough to look good, and rSFF Ganondorf enough to overcome yje statistical defference between them.
It's crazy, I know.
Now, discuss. :P

I have a very crazy theory regarding Magus' performance. Know that this theory is so crazy that it doesn't make sense to me...
Magus did lower than expected on every single opponent save for Link and Ganondorf, right? He made Luca and Sam look better than we thought they were, and even with a huge degree of SFF against him, he got lower on Magus than expected.
From this part on, this goes crazy.
What system was Chrono Trigger on? The SNES. The SNES also housed several Zelda games. I'm thinking that he managed to rSFF Link enough to look good, and rSFF Ganondorf enough to overcome the statistical defference between them. Remember the game contest? CT and LttP were both mighty strong. I'm sure that they share many fans. Also, CT ended up winning...
It's crazy, I know.
Now, discuss. :P

Yes, perhaps Link overperformed due to bracket voting on Cloud in 2003. Samus was SFF'd.

It happens, and doesn't mean either side has much cheating. Fifteen minute updates make a much better reference as they don't fluctuate as much.

There's definitely a few variables everyone's missing.
Did anyone ever double-check to make sure all the math on the percentages and extrapolated stats and **** like that were all accurate?

A small amount of hope for Magus:
From this time to before Mario's final (cheat?) rally, Crono gained about 600 votes in 2 less hours of night vote in Mario/Crono II. Mario had peaked about an hour before.

I actually didn't ignore the hints. I've been talking about Fisher,
Tidus, and Luca for months. I just didn't think Magus would actually be
in danger of losing. Luckily, I do have him losing to Squall next round because of this so I'm only out a point.
