This may be proof that Magus and Frog DID benefit from having a huge bandwagon behind them. Many people who don't really like Magus better than Link or Frog better than Snake (but still like them to some degree) may have voted for them to see them do well in the contest... Especially since it looked like they had no chance of beating Link and Snake respectively.

It might make sense. Zero is my 3rd favorite character period, but I still voted Ryu H. over him to see him do well. Of course, again, it would have had to be a HELL of a bandwagon for Magus to perform so pathetically today...

The thing is, I would have picked Knux over Magus in a heartbeat in 2003. It's all his performance that made me (reluctantly) give him the win in this round.

I can't believe everyone says that Squall is a lock to the sweet sixteen now. Even if Magus was overrated, Knuckles is right now doing what Sonic would do according to the X-stats. That must at least mean something.

I've been wrecking my brain. With lower vote totals we'd at least have the hypothesis that all the Magus supporters were casuals, who like GTA and Magus. Nothing else....shut up.

But vote totals are comparable to 2k3.

Apart from the fact that Knux is my fave character and magus is my least fave , that I made a suspicious topic yesterday telling everyone to wait and see and that I've been following the match all day... what possible reasons could there be to suspect me?

But seriously.... there was no cheating so far. If either character gains a suspicious bundle of votes in an update, then there's cheating (like Vercetti gaining 200 votes in 5 minutes.)

Knuckles is winning without help.

I always look at the unadjusted stats, especially with characters such as these. However, you're probably right that I, and basically everyone else, would have assumed SFF. But there wasn't any reason to claim he was upset about getting a pick wrong. We DO suck at adjusting, that is rather evident and nothing new.

I think this shows Samus was SFF'D against Link in 2k3.

I have always said Magus is overrated, but maybe he just had a huge drop off.

But if he is overrated. Samus was SFF'D to an extent in 2k3.

Yeah he's right there, but the problem is he really just seems pissed off at everyone else because he made an incorrect pick. You can't just go around blaming other people when you don't look into one of your picks. I had magus making it to crono as well, and it's my own fault for not looking into the match further.
