What I'm saying is, Dante did way better than he was expected to against Terra, and we've got a pretty good range of where she stands. (between Kefka and Ultros somewhere) Kerrigan, we've got no idea, and while Vincent exceeded expectations as well... well it doesn't really decide anything if you ask me.

Same here, but if those Vincent supporters say Dante has no chance I'll be there arguing, unless I'm not here.

Of course, I wouldn't put this solely on Magus being overrated. Knuckles is FINALLY unleashed on someone stronger than him who ISN'T Solid Snake.

This could be all him for all we know. It's kinda hard to go against someone for 3 years that people KNOW is going to beat you if they've paid any attention to the contest. Just like Mega Man performed much differently against Link, this can be another case of NON-LINEARITY!!!
