Why they have a lot in common they are both from popular PC Games (That and Kerrigan isn't in MULTIPLAYER)

Ulti's right. These Dante pickers make HM look absolutely sane in comparison.

Ok maybe not on GameFAQs. Give me one popular character (other than Freeman) that came from the PC (Don't you dare mention Starcraft 64)

Oh, and as far as a Tifa/Vincent matchup is concerned, I would expect minimal SFF if they're close together, much like Cloud/Sephy.

You know what's funny. Kerrigan being this weak doesn't make any sense since she's from one of the most popular PC games of all time. Just like our favourite guy in this contest, Gordon Freeman. Don't expect that much from Vincent.. Kerrigan could be even weaker than Freeman :D

Other than Diablo, Duke Nukem is the only one who's been able to win a match, and he's barely over the VFL.

Diablo and Duke

Ones the main villain and is seen in multiplayer and the other was an icon at some point or another. What I'm saying is that Kerrigan never really had much strength.

FACT or FICTION: When Magus utterly destroys Knuckles tomorrow, half the Vincent bandwagon will jump right over to Magus.

Magus won't "destroy" Knuckles. At best, he could put up a doubling and that's what he's projected to get in the first place.

I'm hoping that these people who are in support of Vincent doing this well stick with it a while. There's absolutely no reason at all to think Vincent will lose to Magus. The two are comparable and Vincent has the clear advantages.

This happens every year... Vincent performs well for one match and everyone jumps on his bandwagon.

I know quite a few of people have been on this "bandwagon" before it even began. Myself, Chichiri, Leonhart, Ulti, therealmn; all of us actually expected him to be a force. But no matter who you are, this performance is impressive. I have a very hard time swallowing someone not being impressed with this.

. . .

Yes, he is projected to get either 61% or 66% depending. If Knuckles is adjusted its the former, if Knuckles is unadjusted its the latter. That all depends on Magus staying the same since 2003 as well. But he IS projected to get a doubling by these very stats.

First off, the Kerrigan = Freeman point is a very viable point. It more than very well could be.
Using the all time Extrapolated stats I came up with this.

Cloud Strife 49.14
Diablo 24.69

Now I boost Cloud up .86 to get to a value of 50%, and Diablo the same to keep things constant.

Cloud Strife 50.00%
Diablo 25.55%

Now, Kerrigan is at 21%, if you make Kerrigan's ceiling Diablo, then Vincent is performing better than Cloud would do on the very same opponent, and I'm not accepting Vincent > Cloud. So it's obvious that Kerrigan is significantly weaker than Diablo, and even if you lower Kerrigan several percentage points, Vincent would still be equal to Cloud, once again, bull****. Where does 21% rank on the X-stats? Right between Jak and Ridley, that's assuming she's as good as Diablo with a pic like that, AND that Vincent = Cloud and strength. That's pushing it... really ****ing pushing it. If you still want to keep.

Now if you want to do it through Sephiroth, Seph's all time ranking in the x-stats is 44.46. Give him the same .86 boost and we have him at 45.32%

Cloud 50.00%
Seph 45.32%
===========
4.68% Differential

Now keeping Kerrigan at Diablo's level still, as seen above, drop 4.68% from Kerrigan's 21%.

16.32 That's assuming Vincent = Sephiroth in strength. Smack dab in between Mithos and Robotnik. I still don't but Vincent = Sephiroth, but it's a hell of a lot more plausible than Cloud. Point being, Kerrigan is ****ing weak.

I actually don't think the contest follows the linearity that the x-stats would have us believe.

I really think non-linearity is a big reason why Tidus/Shadow and Lara Croft fell off so much in the X-stats.

Looks like transitivity held there...

Start using the right word. :P

Linearity, not transitivity. Transitivity is just saying that if C loses to B and B loses to A, A>B>C. Linearity is comparing characters without a like opponent. I think that's it anyway.

Taken from the other topic:

*looks at the all-time Xsts*

112 JC Denton 12.57
113 Kuja 12.43

Is it hard to believe that Kerrigan is on the level of Kuja?

Both come from popular games/series, but where they are is neglected/not cared about by some fans (FFIX, SC's singleplayer). The popularity of both of these areas has also been overestimated by the board.
Both are evil, manipulating killers. This may not appeal to very many.
Both have reasons to be popular from their own game/series but apparently aren't.
Both have next to no casual appeal as far as pictures go.
On top of that, Kerrigan is from a PC game (and their characters sans Diablo tend to suck) with an ensemble cast, and we saw the 'main character' of an ensemble cast go down hard yesterday... and FFVI is probably more popular than Starcraft.
