If Crono failed to SFF Zidane and Squall SFFs Geno straight to hell, Magus is in trouble.

I don't see why Squall/Geno was mentioned yet Riku/Frog wasn't.

Here's an off the wall question for you guys. Let's assume, uh.... that a friend I know is about to get married to a girl that has cheated on him about.... oh, 3 or 4 times or so. Is it wrong of him to not want his fiancée not to have a bachelorette party?

Obviously, there's a trust issue here; not to say this friend doesn't love her and/or want to spend the rest of his life with her, but I know it'd be tough for me to marry somebody who I couldn't trust enough to have a party without me...or even still be with her after being cheated upon three or four times. This friend's intentions are good, but either the friend is paranoid (which isn't great) or the fiance is untrustworthy (which is infinitely worse).

If Knuckles actually beat Magus (I know it won't happen, but still), I wouldn't be the least bit upset. I love Knux.

Knuckles + 499 other characters > Magus.

I sent a poll-idea...

Do you know who CATS is?
--Yes, and I've played his game too.
--Yes, though I only know him from fads.
--Yes, although I can only recognize his face.
--No, but I hear his name tossed around.
--No, I could care less who he is.

NO, just NO.
It's a freaking HORSE, it's not even a char.
NO, just NO.
It's a freaking HAND, it's not even a char.

Just seconds before I saw this post, I imagined how unorthadox a match of Epona/Master Hand would be. That'd be almost funny.

Haha, anything to save your perfect bracket eh Josh?

Heh, no shame in that; besides, we all surely expected Kerrigan to get some linkage anyways. No biggy, and bless him for trying to stay alive fairly. I'm all for more SC and PC fans to come to this site, anyways, though I'm not a huge fan of either.

I don't know why this topic assumes that Terra = Ultros is more logical than Dante increasing

I'll agree with this; between Dante gettin' a new game and Ultros having a sprite, I don't buy Terra = Ultros. It's still not out of the question though, since, again, I've always heard more talk about Kefka and Ultros than the rest of the cast in FF3/6.

While I'm thinkin' about it, HM (or anybody else), can you show me some sales-numbers in both America and world-wide for Conker: Live And Reloaded and Conker's Bad Fur Day?

And I, personally, don't see why you should care, as it's a significant enough portion of every Blizzard representative's strength that other websites should be alerted.

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. So you're telling me that Blizzard from this site alone is completely in trouble without the help out of altering the fanbase outside of GameFAQs? Pathetic.

Besides, the fact that you would gain or lose respect for someone over something like that is just flat out petty. And if I hadn't, someone else would have, as they got a news post up every other time.

I never said I would lose respect for someone for doing it, but I find it ridiculously stupid to do such things. I didn't support this behavior in 2002 when Mario faced Cloud and got a link from Planet GameCube and I do not support it now.

No, not completely in trouble, but it accounts for a couple thousand votes, and I see no reason not to help my bracket if I can. If I am going to put support behind a character, I'm going to do it 100%. I will do what I can to help them win, without actually cheating, if possible. I don't see why that's pathetic, but to each his own.

I almost did it for Vercetti during the 800 and 400 barrier, but then I realized that there would be no reason to do so since I can't win.

Well, that was just AKJ making an awful choice of what site to tell. I'm sure the numbers would be higher and more Kerrigan skewed at the sites that are actually popular.

I support the characters I like as well, but I do so while maintaining the things I believe shouldn't be done in a contest. This extends to such things as cheating and alerting other websites of the contest. I can give my 100% backing without doing these things. But if you feel that you have some obligation to do it in order to grab extra votes by alerting websites dedicated to the game/character, go ahead. I just made my point that I think it's pathetic and stupid and that I dislike it.

No, I sent a message to a site that I know posts links to polls in a pretty much unbiased way. They just state the two characters going at it, and give a link. People are free to make whatever choice they want.

Besides, you do plenty of things I don't respect, so I really don't care.

I agree with HM and Leonheart on this won. It reeks of desperation to have to resort to outside helps just to save your bracket.

I could care less about my bracket actually winning the contest, especially if it would take me having to rally for mass votes from other sites... especially when it directly conflicts with the very theme of this contest. The Great GAMEFAQS Character Battle. I can understand trying to rally friends to vote and such, since many people probably do that. But I don't care for the site linking at all....

Guys, for what it's worth, I link to GameFAQs at www.xbox.com on every match I see that has an Xbox character thus far this contest, whether it's for my bracket (or even preference) or not. From CJ (which would have helped my bracket) to Hayabusa (which would have hurt it) to MC (which wouldn't have mattered, really). It helps with vote totals, and I'm all for hopin' there might be afew more Xbox fans who will stay on GameFAQs.

Don't worry, by the way; I don't think any topics I've made there has gotten more than fifty views, much less votes.
