Theory question: Could the timing of the vote removal effect the contest itself? Let us say the votes were removed earlier in the day, would that not inspire more Kefka rallying, which would be difficult to happen this late in the contest?

Well, Wind Waker was a more imposing opponent for StarCraft than Halo. Going into the match, everyone was saying, "Okay, Halo is an X-Box game and got anti-voted. Okay, the KHF is overrated and KH itself really isn't that strong. Now StarCraft is going up against a ZELDA game. It's the end of the line for StarCraft."

Even most StarCraft supporters thought that was as far as StarCraft would go. I was one of the most vocal SC supporters at the time, and my thoughts were, "StarCraft CAN win."

So SC's victory over Wind Waker is much more impressive, IMO.

I'm all for keeping the 5 minute updates (I usually just use sc2k5 anyway) but I like being able to watch the board vote in the first couple of minutes. if these are here to stay, I'll miss seeing CATS over MC for a couple seconds or other similar things.

There's only 3 weird updates during that.

Which is enough. They were cheating better in this match than in the one against SSBM, because they didn't need to rush as much as they did against SSBM, because WW would have beaten Starcraft by less, whereas SSBM was comfortably winning.

I'll stick to my conspiracy theory, thank you.
