The 5 minute update thing is only suspenseful in close matches. In
matches like this it just makes it a long wait before we can detect
trends.

1) Kefka slowly built up a lead of 1100.
2) Tommy spent all day chipping away at the lead, stalling at every 100 vote "barrier" from anywhere to thirty minutes to three hours.
3) Tommy finally reached 0, and stalled there for several hours. Everytime he took the lead, Kefka would suddenly receieve a surge of 40 votes or so.
4) We suspected cheating.
5) CJayC changed the update format of the poll to five minute updates instead of instant.
6) CJayC took 1800 votes away from Kefka and said a user named "George Romero" did it.
7) CJayC posted in a couple random topics on Board 8.
8) Everyone and their mother tried to get CJayC to post in their topic.
9) George Romero said that he stuffed in every close match.
10) Ulti believes him.
11) Tommy received a couple of 200 vote surges late in the match that either came from Kefka supporters trying to get votes stripped from him or from Asia.
12) Crono is raping Zidane.

I'd have thought. I counted on the general bracket makers being fools.
Hell, they had Kefka over Diablo by a fair amount. I did too, of
course, but that all made me realize that he is always, and I mean
always, overrated by the general bracket makers. As I've said, when it
comes to Kefka they NEVER learn.

Mostly sweet stuff. Hard alcohol tastes so bad that I almost puke the
second I swallow it. The exeption is tequila, while I'll drink no
matter what.

I have tequila (Sauza). I have Midori (and I suppose you're special
enough to share that with, as it's probably one of the best liqours
ever). I have irish cream. I have pineapple run (Malibu). I have
Smirnof Twist (Raspberry, of course, as it's my favorite flavor ever).
That's about it for the sweeter side of things. I have Kool-Aid,
though, and that makes rum bearable.

Indeed. I hadn't thought of orange, though. I did think of vanilla, since i drink a lot of vanilla coke and it'd go together well, but Raspberry is truly the flavor for me. Oh, and if you haven't tried Midori yet you should. Very good, melon flavored drink. Rather syrupy, so needs to be mixed no doubt (unless you're my crazy-ass roomate), but quite sweet.

No, no. I don't disagree that vanilla isn't the best option, but I just
love Vanilla Coke for some reason (probably because it's smoother than
regular coke) and thought the two would blem well together. Frankly,
however, Raspberry rules over all.
Well, I work at 2:45 tomorrow, which is quite early for me, and I ought to head off as well not that the alcohol has made me sufficiently leaden-eyed.

This was to be expected. Vivi would be projected to get around 33% on Crono before SFF. And I'd say Vivi > Zidane.

There's nothing that hasn't been said already, not even on my own
account. But I'd just like to laugh at the coincidence that my
expectations were the same as for MvC2, and the same outcome happens
(though for different reasons, of course). So these barriers were stuffing barriers... it was really strange to see Vercetti struggle to get past hundreds,
yet anywhere else he was in the clear. And Kefka continually jumping
ahead of Vercetti whenever they were tied... before going to sleep I
noticed Kefka's lead was actually going down, and I wondered what it
was. I felt it wasn't natural. (Oops, I'm really slipping into ****ese
mode here.) Anyway, I still thought, okay, CJay only ever took action
twice, there must be nothing all that wrong. Hehe. I feel like a god
for cursing Kefka like that. And all that while the stats topic was on
part 187. Must've been destiny.
And the brackets. Hoo boy. For a first round match, it was the second most missed in history, right behind Vivi/DK. Both matches are similar in that Vercetti and Vivi were both the board favorites, but underdogs among the casuals. Well, at least we get to one-up these people after they did the same to us with Ness/CJ. We shall die by GTA, but we shall also live by GTA!

What the hell is with this vote stuffer guy? He makes the ridiculous
claim of causing practically every major upset in contest history and
you guys go off and believe him? Judging by his sloppy style of vote
stuffing and how he even talked about it at the board I have a hard
time believing he's done it before on a large scale like this. Even if
he did some of you are overreacting way too much. We should change te
xstats over this? What.the.hell? A few thousand votes aren't going to
make any character look exceptionally stronger then they really are in
the xstats. It's not like the xstats are 100% cannon, and small changes
like that wouldn't make too huge of a difference in them. I don't see
why anyone should believe this guy. If he bothered cheating in this,
what would be stopping him from lying about previous acts to boost his
ego?

i really think that people are blowing the SFF business way out of
proportion today. Crono and Zidane are from different generations. i
suppose there could be a small amount of SFF from both being RPG
heroes, but that wouldn't be much different than admitting that Magus
SFF'd Luca Blight.
just admit it: Zidane is weaker than Vivi.
oh, and i thought Kefka would be the bracketmaker's favorite, but 62%? yeesh. and i can't believe we lost 10 of our 12 zeroes and 740 of our 888 perfects. man.

Haven't seen anything either... then again, I went to sleep shortly after 11 PM Eastern, so I missed all the juicy action.
Funny how no one's rushing to 500... when yesterday alone we used SIX stats topics, TWICE AS MANY AS FOR THE ENTIRE 2003 CONTEST. What a crazy day.
