And Kefka brings his lead back up. That was a frightening push as far as my bracket is concerned...

It takes Vercetti 5 minutes to get 40 votes, and Kefka steals that back in under a minute. -_-

To be fair, that proved a couple of hundred votes can be negated in a matter of minutes... We really shouldn't call this one until it's over.

I did that solely because of your little outburst. Don't yell at Slow for sucking at having fun (in the EarthBound rating topic), then yell at people for being random and silly. Any EarthBound fan should appreciate some good ol' RI.

This match, in no way, can be called over until 3 AM EST. Kefka was supposed to run away with the night vote, but after going up 250, he's lost 2/5 (100 votes) of that lead. This is anyone's match, just like I thought it would be. I wanted to believe the night vote would not help Kefka for the sake of my bracket, and it looks like I was right. :-)

Kefka's going to be bitten in the ass for not running without the night vote. Timmy packed ammo well for this match.
From: Adept_Of_Aiur | Posted: 8/6/2005 9:00:49 PM | Message Detail
Vote totals seem normal because only 10000 people ACTUALLY voted, and the rest was vote stuffing.

Whatever, same principle. Actually, in terms of the leaps that Vercetti took, depending on how long he could have held them he would have been closer to that 1000 vote mark or even surpassed it. But Vercetti was EXTREMELY erratic during the day...about the same as Kefka is now, actually...

Heh, no wonder Tommy appears to be weaker. I went to the GTA:Vice City board. It has a whopping 4 pages, and all of 2-3 topics calling for Tommy Vercetti votes. Looks like Vice City doesn't even have much of a community, as far as GameFAQs goes...

I went to GTA:San Andreas, and the first topic I saw was "Who is Tommy Vercetti?". There was one topic on the first page calling for Tommy Vercetti votes. The first response was a threat to mark for off-topic posting.

Tommy Vercetti = pwned by his own fans

You, sir, have not been watching this match today. Vercetti has struggled all day to get this far.

Yes, I have. At one point, Vercetti cut the lead from 800 to 400 in what seemed like no time at all. It's just that he took off in spurts, and would tend to stall at intervals of 100 along the way (the 'barriers', lol). Kefka was relatively constant throughout the day--but he was getting his fair share of 'CHEATER' accusations there too.

Tommy Vercetti's not getting a warm reception now on the VC board, but neither is Kefka on the FF III board, either. And there were some topics that were deleted that had a lot more support (including admissions of vote-stuffing).
