Now's a good time to comment that Kefka's on a rise and will probably stay there for the rest of the match. I'm pretty surprised it happened so suddenly, but at this point, Kefka's looking really good at winning this one, unfortunately.

It's funny, but I've only lost tw points thus far, both of them being because of GTA characters.

The 20XX Division shouldn't have been adjusted. I've wanted to see if they should or shouldn't have since last summer. Thus far, I think just about every character who was in that division has performed like ass in comparison to their adjustments.

Analysis

Since today’s match is really close I don’t plan on making this a really long analysis and besides we all know that Crono is easily going to win today’s match. So after easily beating Mario in 2k4 both Crono and Mario are put across the bracket and there only chance to meet would be in the finals and with no Clinkeroth there’s a chance that they might meet again. Zidane is from Final Fantasy IX and with other Final Fantasy IX characters being in this contest we can get a feel for how strong he is.

With Clinkeroth out of the bracket, Crono has a chance on taking this contest and is the second most favorite character on the boards (behind Samus of course). Also out of what’s left of the noble 9 I think Crono has the easiest path with only his semi-final and final match that will bring him under 60%.

If you ask me I don’t think that Zidane is very strong. Even before SFF happens I don’t think that Zidane could break 30%, why because Final Fantasy IX characters have been weak lately. First we have Kuja, the villain losing to a glove from Super Smash Bros. Melee (who by the way isn’t strong either) then we have Vivi underperforming against Zelda. I also think that Zidane is weaker then Vivi because people could infer him to the Black Mage that appears in some Final Fantasy games.

Now how much SFF will this match have? Well since it is Old Square vs. New Square it might be less, but there will still be SFF none-of-the-less. I’m expecting a tripling to happen in this match I won’t be surprised if Crono quadruple Zidane since he almost did the same thing to Kefka in 2k3 and he’s seem to have grown stronger.

charmander6000’s Bracket: Crono over Zidane Tribal

charmander6000’s Prediction: Crono wins, 77.38% - 22.62%

I just checked the X-Sts, and this match wasn't supposed to be close at all. 56% for Vercetti was the projection. I'm really starting to think the split in support between two games hurt Vercetti a lot, as was supposed.

That doesn't make sense though. It's not like only one character can be supported per series.

There's a noticeable absence, though, of Terra/Kefka comparisons when there was an abundance of Cecil/Terra ones...

Damn, it isn't over till it's over...

On a side note, how much do you think Kefka would score on Crono next round if it was his sprite round and he got made with his sprite pic that he's most known for? With or without SFF?

I know it's going to be probably close to or worse than the previous time, even under those circumstances, but I want to hear what others think.

Yes, I realize that. He's the only issue with that, but perhaps he's "special" in this whole ordeal. I know if you take Vercetti's unadjusted value and Kefka's adjusted value this match comes out to be impossible to call by stats -- basically what we're seeing today. Not that I can yet justify adjusting Kefka and not adjusting everyone else.

If you seriously think a significant percentage of votes have been coming from vote stuffers, throughout the match, you're smoking something. Considering you have absolutely no evidence of it other than your impressions of vote swings throughout the day, it's a bit much to swallow. The idea that people would be constantly stuffing votes is a bit much. Compare the votal total at the end of the day to other matches and see how it differs.
