Intro to Differential Equations is to date the easiest class I've taken so far actually. I swept the class and wound up with a 100% average in it. No points lost on any exams or homeworks! :)

I've never even come close to a repeat performance in any of my other classes though. Maybe I just had a really easy professor...

The class was basically just memorize a bunch of formulas and know when to use them.

And what is Calc IV supposed to be?

Aw, Differential Equations aren't that bad...

Yeah, the class wasn't that bad. It's just I had the worst professor ever. The guy actually ADMITTED to the class that he didn't care about teaching and that he only cared about his research. I know many professors teach to get funded for research, but he openly admitted it to the class.

Plus he had the WORST grading scale ever. He didn't grade homework assignments at all. We had 4 test for the whole semester, 25% each. If you get a D or worse on a test, he takes 6 points off of your FINAL grade. He says if you fail a test, it shows that you don't know 25% of the course material, so he deducts points from your final grade.

So not only do you have your D showing that you didn't know the material. He also takes an ADDITIONAL 6 points for the hell of it. HELLO? Your bad grade by itself reflects your performance. I remember I went into the final in Diff E 1 with a 95 average, so I tanked the final since I only needed around a 70 to ensure an A. I got a 65 or so and barely escaped with a B-....

Yeah, if you hear stuff like that from your professor you should drop the class immediately and switch to something else. I know that I dropped my second semester of Analysis after, among other things, hearing my professor compare fractals to Britney Spears (don't ask).

Of course, I've heard that the way registration works varies widely by school, so maybe that wasn't an option for you.
