That's not a good picture of Master Chief. The glare takes too much away from the picture. You can't see much definition in the color and most of the pic as a whole. It doesn't jump out and say "Halo guy" like most of his pictures do. Maybe because it looks a little too realistic. I dunno.... It kinda looks like a random guy cosplaying as Master Chief. CATS looks... like CATS.

Donkey Kong looks like a complete idiot. No wonder nobody wants to vote for him. Why can't he get standard SSBM fighting poses like Ceej gives everyone else? Fully charged Giant Punch anyone? Sam Fisher has the classic Splinter Cell look. Don't know if it will amount to much though. But at least with all the ads and commercials strewn about, I don't see how someone couldn't recognize him as the Splinter Cell guy. Whether Chaos Theory boosts him any remains to be seen.

Kefka looks like a suicidal maniac waiting on someone to take his misery away. Tommy looks like the guy he hired to do it. Tommy doesn't have the classic Vice City shirt on... But still, with Kefka looking like that, any non-Kefka fan would vote for the guy with the shotgun anyways so it won't hurt him much.

Crono looks cool like always. If they had actually given him a good character in his game, he actually could be a monster in this contest. Akira Toriyama really has a great character design. Zidane.... looks like a young Jonathan Taylor Thomas. His look is not appealing at all. I don't think he would have added up to much in this contest even WITHOUT facing Crono. I don't even see him at 2k3 Yuna's level...

Bleh. Kefka looks terrible as usual. I'm not really any more confident in Tommy from it, considering it should have been expected for him to get that picture. Nonetheless, Tommy certain has the advantage as far as that picture is concerned.

Sam Fisher looks badass. You almost just want to vote for him based off of that picture. Donkey Kong looks... okay... but that picture really isn't nearly as good as Fisher's.

Crono rocks Zidane. Nothing to say there.

Master Chief looks good, he got a picture from the early Halo 2 trailer. CATS looks awesome, he'll certainly benefit a little from that one. I'm interested in seeing how Master Chief does though. According to the adjusted stats, Master Chief is projected to get 79.68%; the unadjusted stats predict Chief with 76.44%.

There was no Hero vs. Villain SFF between Crono and Kefka... especially seeing how Kefka is one of the most popular characters from his game. And betting that no one from his game is likely much more popular than him, it was just plain SFF...

The only thing that would prove Hero vs. Villain SFF even existed is if Crono overperformed on Sephiroth. Other than that, the notion is ridiculous. 90% of the time, the Hero is going to be more popular than the villain anyways. The stronger character is usually the one that benefits from the SFF, so Hero/Villain has little to do with the actual SFF. It's overall popularity.

I dont know about major shock. Even if Zidane is stronger than we think, he has no chance of coming anywhere near Crono. He could do better than we expect, but then again are expectations are really low.

The question is whether Zidane can break 20%.

Of course, he might turn out to actually be strong enough to get as high as 30% against Crono. Or he may bomb and get less than 15%. I don't know what will happen, but I'm predicting that Crono will end with slightly less than 80%. He has a good chance of going over as well. Depends on how well Zidane represents FF9.

I'm just feeling this will be one of the few times the main character won't be the strongest character representing a game.

Of the First Round Flood Division pictures, the best is probably Crono vs. Zidane. Unfortunately, it will not help Zidane avoid the penetration he will receive. I think Master Chief vs. CATS is a bit too crowded. Donkey Kong vs. Sam Fisher looks fine -- it captures the general mood of both characters. Kefka, unfortunately, looks like he should look -- bad. Tommy Vercetti's picture is not good.

Someone in the stats topic hypothesized that CJayC used face pics for this round only so that CATS could get his face pic in this match. Somehow I doubt that, though it does bring up an interesting point. In the Spring Contest, CATS did better than many expected him to do and was given the AYB face pic that everyone loves rather than that eggplant crap that we've seen in the past.

This won't help him to actually win, and with Halo 2's release he'll probably do worse than what the 2004 stats put him at, anyway. But CATS will still have his standard 2 second lead before eventually going under, and that's all that matters.

Prediction: Chief with 77.24%

are you serious? despite being the hero of his game, Zidane STILL has very little going for him compared to Vivi. especially with that girly pic. it's not even cute-girly like Mithos; it's fugly-girly. Zidane is going to manage somewhere between 20-25% on Crono.

and with CATS face pic, i fully expect CATS to hold the lead for the first 10 minutes and barely avoid the tripling in the end.
