Looks like Tidus finally got away from that board vote. He must be glad now, because it was so cruel to him.

Now he's at 73%+. The 80% some were hoping for is out of the question, and at the rate he's going, he might just get the tripling and land at 75-76%. Not bad, but nothing spectacular either.

*waves his Kirby upset flag*

who thinks Link vs Cloud will be the final Bracket buster.

both have something going for them and after AC it's going to lead to one hell of a match. i say it's about 50/50 that match at the moment.

There's no question that Link/Cloud will be a bracket buster, though the reigning champion almost-certainly has the edge prediction-wise.

When talking about round 2, don't forget Dante/Vincent as well. This one's going to be nasty.

I hope you just mean in terms of breaking brackets....

Surely. There's no better case to be done for a character than for the other. Besides, we have to be pretty lucky to have a real nailbiter.

I just know that Dante/Vincent better have an extremely bad-ass picture, assuming Terra (*sigh* or Kerrigan) don't pull off their respective upsets.

Can you imagine Link/Cloud being close? It's such an important match in every way, and the vote totals are sure to be monstrous, but what really has me excited is that fact that on paper it looks dead even. It's going to be heartbreaking for anyone in the top 10 after the main contest if they get it wrong.

I'm bankin' on one of the five big matches in a row being the match of the contest or Sonic/Mega Man. Picking a single match, though...gimme Ganon/Auron.

Off to work now. Would anybody take KoaC over, say, Lara Croft?

Even after the Sonic/Samus-Megaman/Sephiroth-Mario/Cloud sequence in 2002 there were 130 pages. Not a chance in hell.

Wow. Very disappointing performance by Tidus here, as he's even been dropping in percentage since I woke up. Forget the trippling and completely throw out my 80%; if Tidus can't at least scrounge up 74%, Kirby has to go into Round 2 as the slight favorite, or, at the very least, the match should be looked at as a complete toss-up.

I don't think he was ever a "lock" to beat Kirby. Hell, Tidus ranks below Kirby in last year's adjusted standings. I think most people just assumed that if Squall can beat Kirby with a comfortable 55%, then Tidus shouldn't be weak enough to lose. Seems like logical thinking, but these past two days are certainly making a few of us nervous.

Looks like we'll hit 100K. Tidus is certainly a big draw. How is this match comparing to the other two 100K matches?

Winning the day vote doesn't alwasy mean making a comeback, sometime it just means not losing nearly as badly. The King has that second part down.

If Chun-Li gets somewhere in the neighborhood of 41-43% on Bowser tomorrow, everyone's going to get worried, yes. 45% or more, and everyone's going to start calling Ryu a lock. Everyone's pretty quick to call weakness on the returning character than strength in the new one.
