If I had it my way, Knuckles would take the division without any contest.

I'd say the same for Geno. =p

I dont see how a comparision between Cecil and Terra is valid considering FFVI popularity is much closer to Chrono Trigger's than FFIV. And I know Games != Characters but its enough reason to think that a bad performance by Cecil means squat for Terra.

I think Terra going to lose now, but its the vote totals which forced that opinion on me.

And unless Dante has a Squall like reversal, and Dante is more liked in DMC3 than he was in DMC, then I don't think it would amount to much.

Have you played DMC? Dante is a complete idiot in that game. an inaudible idiot, but an idiot nonetheless.

I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO FILL YOUR DARK SOUL WITH LIIIIII1I1I1II1I1I1IGHT!11!!!!

It's almost impossible for him not to be better in DMC3, given how bad he was in DMC.

I have DMC, although I haven't gotten around to beating it yet... I don't care for Dante that much anyways. He's too cheesy for me... the stereotypical badass. But obviously there are tons of people who still liked him anyways. I'd attribute it more to being able to kick ass with him more than his personality....

Although he does look like he kicks more ass in DMC3, I don't think it's enough to make a good amount of people who didn't like him after DMC to like him now.

I'd say that DMC3 would at least save Dante from slowly decreasing due to time.

I think Sora's disappointing performance is being looked into too deeply here. Agent 47 looks cooler, had a better picture (in terms of nabbing votes), and stars in a series with a few million copies under its belt. The King of All Cosmos, unfortunately, has none of these.

Maybe, but so far, every single Square char has been disappointing except for Yuna.

Granted that we haven't seen any of Square's powerhouses in action yet.

I just got done reading through all the old Contest overviews that Ulti did. I forgot how awesome Spring 2004 was and I wasnt even a big time member of the board then.

But great job Ulti, they really bring back some good memories. Hopefully the string of second round matches that are Auron/Gannondorf, Snake/Zelda, Sora/Alucard, Kirby/Tidus, and Ryu/Bowser can make this contest memorable in some way.

It'll be tough for Tidus to disappoint here. I don't think KoaC will be much stronger (if at all) than Manny. The only thing in his favor is that Katamari Damacy was released less than a year ago.

And on the Square side of things, I don't think Auron's performance was disappointing at all.

Ganondorf seemingly underperformed despite 86% of the brackets behind him. I don't think bracket voting is going to be all that significant, at least not in a blowout.
