****...I thought me picking Alucard over Sora was a good upset pick, now it turns out almost everyone have that happening.
If that's true, then almost everyone is going to be very disappointed.

Nope. He never had a chance at 80% for starters.

And no, I don't see him breaking 80%.
And most people have Sora > Alucard, I think. Or Sora > Kratos.

Boy, Cecil's screwed as far as the pic department goes...
Its a shame cause Cecil is the only 8 seed with anything resembling a shot of getting to next round, and the pic will just shoot that Hell.
Terra's in a similar case as well...

stronger than Ramza, to be quite honest. He might get 40%, but not much
more.

Yeah.
The pic will end up being Rikku lusting for Ryu's bulging biceps. And he'll be all "The fight is all!1!!" and she's be all "Monkey love, tee-hee!" and he'll be all "SHOURYUKEN'D". Then Rikku will be all dead, and where does that leave us?
Truly a vicious circle.

say Sora will beat Alucard with between with at least 52%

I wasn't going to be bothered, but I guess it warrents being said for
the 50 billionth time... Just because one side is losing % doesn't mean
they are losing the lead... especially this early in the match. If Sora
scrapes it out at over 70% he did mighty well, and at this point it's
still quite possible (and likely).

I'm going to take a gamble and say Cecil/Kirby will be closer than Dante/Terra. I'm calling it right here, man!
Agent 47's doing well. About 0.5% weaker than my prophet pick. Cool. I think the day vote might actually favor 47, too. Casual support and all that.

I think it just proves that Kratos has a more casual bracket support than we could've thought.
Definitely. It does show that a good number of bracket makers went with Kratos, but it isn't as though they were far off. He did very well in that match. I think it could show that a number of casual bracket makers saw that Kratos was there and figured he would win due to his current popularity. It doesn't speak of strength, but it doesn't hurt that he'll have bracket support in future contests.
And Sora is doing right about where I figured he would. He's near 70% on right now and I would expect Sora to gain some from the day vote as well. I'm not calling for him to dominate it since Agent 47 is one of those casual characters who'll bring his gain down some.

Kratos is the kind of character the Guru's love. He has enough strength
to pull in significant casual support but is weak enough to fall
against some of the older semi-obscure mid carders. Unfortunately,
there doesn't seem to be a lot of that type of character left in the
first round.

I love it when people arrogantly proclaim that their pick is an
obvious winner a month before the match takes place, with no real
evidence whatsoever, just as an attempt to make themselves feel better
about their choice. Oh wait, no I don't.
It was pages and hours ago, but MasterMage keeps whipping out such gems that I felt his genius needed further praise. Amen.

Just to compare possibilities of Alucard/Sora next round:
--If Alucard/Sora 2k4's: Alucard wins 51.39-48.61.
--If Alucard 2k3/Sora 2k4: Sora wins 52.35-47.65.
--If Alucard-through-Kratos-as-Hayabusa (through unadjusted Zero 2k4)/Sora 2k4: Sora wins 56.58-43.42.
--If Alucard 2k4/Sora-through-Agent-as-Fisher: Alucard wins 61.9-38.1.
I think it should be obvious with these comparisons that both Kratos and Agent 47 should have been given more credit than we originally did; Hayabusa and Fisher both are too low for 'em, unless Alucard and Sora did some major fluctuations from last year.

Gosh, I really hope Kratos was that much stronger than I thought. In
order for Alucard to win like I predicted against Sora, the Kratos
fanbase needs to somehow coincide with Alucard's, which I could see
happening, although the day vote might be a problem.
