Heh, this tournament makes Knuckles/Yuna/Vivi an interesting trio. Knuckles got 55.32% on Yuna, Ganon got 61.2% on Yuna, and Snake got 59.54% (2k4) and 63.13% (2k3) on Knuckles. Is Vivi as strong as Knuckles? Is Zelda as strong as Ganon? Is Yuna as strong as Vivi?

I know I do. If Snake beats Bowser, Samus beats Sephiroth. Book it.

This is really starting to annoy me. If you put Zelda and Lara in another match together, Zelda would likely clear 70% with ease. Just because two characters had a match once upon a time doesn't mean that the result is static two years after the fact. I mean no offense, but that's probably my big gripe with the stats. It is not static, transitive data.

DK > MC would be too awesome for words, quite frankly.

I think it's quite possible, honestly... as long as this match is Zelda rising/Vivi falling and doesn't reflect on DK. Everyone admits that the 20XX stats from last year are questionable, and Frog/MC/LS even moreso. If you compare DK 2k3 with MC 2k3, DK doesn't need to make up a whole lot of ground.

This stood out more than anything from the last topic. Ganon is not that simple. He's much more complex than people give him credit for. He isn't evil to be evil, with no purpose. Everything he does is calculated and nearly unbeatable. But yeah, don't want to get into that now.

Sure he has good games, I've been playing them for close to 20 years, but I don't see what makes him THAT appealing as a character.

He's the icon of our industry. If Link, Cloud, and Sephiroth can hoist a tournament title in the air, then Mario sure as hell can too.

No, it's mostly because he was facing Manny Calavera, whom most of the bracket-makers had either never heard of or at least never had played his game. His 2% probably came from favorites and zero attempts.
